Meh. They've gone further than I thought they would. I'm very disappointed in teh RISP hitting, but they were a bit unlucky today (not that the pitching made that matter). Some of the comments on the

Not really anger, just disappointed. I expected to get a decent start from Gray, and he flat out didn't have it. Might be his worst start of the season. We still tend to to have significant issues scoring on a consistent basis. It's feast or famine, with too much famine. Strike out...or hit one out. That has to change. We just don't do a lot of the little things necessary to win games, when guys aren't going yard for us. It's hard to watch at times. We have another shot tomorrow and we desperately need Ryan to pitch well and keep the damn ball in the yard. If he doesn't, it's going to be a long winter.

To be honest, gray wasn’t all that sharp against Toronto either. Yes of course, he had 5 scoreless but only had one 1-2-3 inning and had at least 2 runners on in 3 of the 5 innings. Toronto just failed to take advantage.

The best thing about today for Twins is Rangers beating up on O's for the sweep, Fox didn't see that coming, game tomorrow moves to prime time and certainly everyone knows the network is beyond hankering for a marque winner take all game, and what a game it would be Verlander vs. Lopez.  Book it, winner hosts the ALCS, let's go get it Rocco's Boys !

Good idea to try to concentrate all the anger in one thread.

I am deeply disappointed, but hope that the Twins play angry and focused tomorrow. 

Screw the cheating, ugly, arrogant stinking Astros.  Beat them so bad tomorrow in the first inning that they have to use a position player to pitch the final eight innings.  Beat them so bad that the owner considers selling the team.

Maybe I am angry after all.  🙄

I thought it'd be a pretty close series because I don't think either team is particularly strong. Baltimore used their fair share of smoke and mirrors to win over 100 games and Texas looks a hell of a lot better than I expected.

Slight disagree. I believe Baltimore was not swept all season if I’m not mistaken? That’s the mark of a really good team IMO. And Texas petered down the stretch, thanks in large part to the twins beating them so much late. They were on the outside looking in really late into September.

Unless atlanta wins their series, Houston will be the only bye team to move on (of course)

Baltimore doesn't have the pitching depth to be great and they waayyyyyyy overperformed their BaseRuns record.

Looking at BaseRuns, Baltimore is a 89 win team while Texas is a 97 win team. What's happening here makes some sense, I just didn't expect Texas's pitching to actually be good.

Don't get me wrong, I think Baltimore is going to be a force soon (and they're already quite good) but only if they properly address their pitching.

He did seem to play with fire at times but it was usually one blow up inning, not so much an entire outing of it. There seems to be a pretty sizable gap between him and Lopez
