Buxton back in the order, but dropped to the 5 spot, with Wallner in front of him.  Not much protection for him there.

Harder to hide awful hitters when you're starting a bunch of other awful hitters. Twins are starting 4 players tonight (Farmer, Castro, Vazquez, Buxton) with an OPS @ .700 or below (OPS+ below 100). And that doesn't include Gallo's mirage of an OPS.

Because I can't resist jinxing him, Julien for the month of July:

36 PAs

.531/.583/1.094

OPS 1.667

35 total bases in 32 ABs

They say "anybody can hit anything in 40 ABs" but HOLY ****!!

I hope you are doing your anti-jinx dance right now ... if not, get to it, because yes, I will blame you for everything.

Buxton still hitting about 3 spots too high in the order.

Best deadline move TC could make was made 2 games ago.  Bench Buxton.  That move was inexplicably undone today.

Today 54 years ago Apollo 11 with Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin aboard the lunar module landed on the moon. Happy anniversary. And go Twins. Buxtons back. He'll probably hit 2 dingers. Get everyone's hopes up.

Like all of us who are old enough to remember that day...I was glued to the old 19" black and white tv watching the events unfold on the moon. Amazing stuff! Buxton...not so much.

Buxton should be lower but with this lineup, geez.

This management team needs to ride the hot hand, it is their biggest flaw. I can see Correa getting a break, especially against a righty, but Kepler should not be sitting today.

Maybe, maybe 2 foul balls of non HR distance.

I watched it on an old 20inch Muntz cabinet TV, but convinced dad to get a RCA color TV for the Vikings in the Super Bowl.

I think that Jinxed the Vikings.

That one's on you.

I brought my Dallas Cowboy fan roommate with me to the NFC Championship game after the 1998 season. After he had six or seven beers more than he should have, he started screaming "We're going to the Bowl!"  He left his seat in the 4th quarter and came back donning an authentic Randy Moss jersey just as Robert Smith was running out of bounds before "The Kick".  I take full responsibility.

I was at the TCF Stadium playoff game against Seattle.  Just before Walsh Walshed "The Other Kick", someone a couple of rows behind me said that if they can't make this kick then they don't deserve to win anyway.  I just hung my head.  I'm pretty sure at least one person punched him in the arm or something.

I blame that guy.  100%.

I'm reliably informed that Mr 8 for 8 doesn't need protection.
