Game Thread: Twins (Lopez) @ Mariners (Kirby), 7/20/23 @ 2:40 CT

This games feels like Monday's game only in reverse.  Monday the Twins should have knocked Gilbert out but allowed him to go 5 innings 94 pitches 2 runs.  Today Seattle should have knock Lopez out, but he made it 5 innings 98 pitches 2 runs.  Hopefully the Twins will be able to come back and win the game.

Yes. But on that play. It's more of a question of who gets that error. Kiriloff for the throw or Lopez for being late to the bag. So on that one I understand it a little bit

Yeah, and it's kinda stupid.

MLB players can't be expected to make plays requiring more than ordinary effort?

Also, on a play like that, once the stop is made--which I agree wouldn't be an error if not made--the throw is pretty damn ordinary. Just because Lopez is late doesn't give him an excuse for a bad throw.

Agree 100%. Buxton is really hurting us. Gallo needs to be gone...like tomorrow!
