SwainZag Community Moderator Posted May 17, 2023 Posted May 17, 2023 Elbow pain for May......probably not what Dodger fans want to hear

It's the Tale of Two Cities with Great Expectations. The Twins, tired of Hard Times have turned to Our Mutual Friend, Sonny Gray to make Chavez Ravine a Bleak House for The Dodgers.
stringer bell Verified Member Posted May 17, 2023 Posted May 17, 2023 I wish Plouffe would speak a little louder. He's got a pretty good perspective IMHO. I haven't heard his podcast, but I understand it's pretty good.

stringer bell Verified Member Posted May 17, 2023 Posted May 17, 2023 I thought Covey was going to take Kershaw's place on the roster. Bereavement leave.

What I remembered was that he was up there with Arraez in BA going into the All-Star break and suddenly he was below .300 and the power was way down.

Hope we can Plate some Runs!
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted May 17, 2023 Posted May 17, 2023 That's some terrible CF play
August J Gloop Verified Member Posted May 17, 2023 Posted May 17, 2023 Probably should have been caught.
PDX Twin Verified Member Posted May 17, 2023 Posted May 17, 2023 Buxton OR Taylor catches that. Why can't either of them play CF today?
stringer bell Verified Member Posted May 17, 2023 Posted May 17, 2023 I don't think there's any doubt that a majority of center fielders catch Betts' drive.
stringer bell Verified Member Posted May 17, 2023 Posted May 17, 2023 C'mon Justin, don't alibi for Nick. He could have and probably should have caught that ball.
RickOShea Verified Member Posted May 17, 2023 Posted May 17, 2023 If your defense isn't top notch, your offense better be, to cover up mistakes. Makes it very difficult to win.
stringer bell Verified Member Posted May 17, 2023 Posted May 17, 2023 The box is way too small on the screen again.

August J Gloop Verified Member Posted May 17, 2023 Posted May 17, 2023 Some solace in the fact that Betts' drive probably should have gone over the fence, considering the bad location of the pitch. Sonny been a little less sharp than we have been accustomed to.

Speculation was that he would take bereavement leave. It's a free move to add another bullpen arm especially after the long game on Monday.

stringer bell Verified Member Posted May 17, 2023 Posted May 17, 2023 Get him out of Dodger stadium. I think he (Correa) is hearing the boos.
