Welcome back Matt Wallner! Not Buxton, but Correa gets a day off. For the complainers, yes Solano has hit third, fourth and fifth in the lineup in recent games.

Correa needs to sit, imo. As long as Solano hits, I don’t care where he is in the lineup. As long as they all hit, I don’t care where they are in the lineup 🙂

Up the middle bench players pushed into action early. Nothing new around these parts, but man there is a difference this year. GG center fielder, a real life MLB short stop and G Cinco at second. Ok Nick Gordon is not considered great at second and is off to a slow start. I do believe he is major league caliber. That's the thing, not every player is going to start off hot. Guys like Farmer and Donny Barrels are established major leaguers and give the Twins the luxury of plugging in a player who has hit the ground running. It also allows them to hit the reset button on Correa.

This is completely different than when we faced these guys last year. Let's get the sweep!

Abreu, Bergman, Pena, Tucker...they don't need days off.  Why does Correa? Why does our management purposely hold our best players out of the lineup?

Maddening, and I'm never going to agree with it. Other successful teams don't do it. It serves no purpose other than to intentionally weaken the team.

You don't really think they are intentionally trying to weaken the team, do you? You can disagree with load management but it does have a purpose, even if you reject it.

I don't disagree with giving guys a day off, here and there.  But, I disagree with giving some of the 'star' players off on days where attendance is usually higher.  How many fans schedule to see a game on a weekend?  They want to see their favorites, regardless of how they are currently going.  Look out into the crowd and see how many jerseys of star players are purchased.  And we can't reward them by playing them on days, that provide an opportunity for greater exposure.

I don't believe it serves any purpose. "Load management" doesn't prevent injury, doesn't increase performance. It just increases the amount of time out of the lineup.

Well, with the way Correa is hitting maybe sitting out a day will help him get redirected

This.  Hold them out in a road game.

I absolutely love the radio broadcast not going to commercial between the first two half innings now.

Edit:  It's only for the first break apparently

Which leads to, "The Twins are only in my town for three days every other season. Play the stars on the road."

I think it's pretty rare that managers take fan preference into consideration when setting their lineups.

I'm glad I didn't wait until the listed 1:10 PM Central Standard Time to tune in.

You'd have probably beaten the daylights out of the web content person.

Guys are going to get days off, it's just how it is.  I'd rather see Carlos get the day off today than later this week in the Yankees series.  It's not like he's hitting the cover off the ball, maybe the day off will help him turn it around.

I'd have needed to beat the daylights INTO them.

Why? Why isn't Bregman sitting today? Tucker? Aaron Judge?

Twin fans from other MLB cities vs. Twins fans from Twins Territory.  I side with Twins Territory everytime.
