I'm starting to believe in this team.  Not World Series belief, but better than "well, someone will finish first in the Central."  I suppose that puts a curse on them now.

We should have taken two from NY as well. I think we won this game despite the Roc's master plan.

That was a good game. Fans have to be happy with two wins against an excellent TB team.

There is so much baseball left in the season but people who are insistent that the Twins are not a contender in any way may need to reconsider what contending means. I mean, I'm pretty content to see the team in first place even in the AL Central. There are some decent young players getting significant at bats and showing their stuff. Although I have not been previously impressed by Pagan, I willingly eat crow and am impressed with several of his recent outings.

They are on pace to win the division, and have a top four or five record in the league.

All they do is win, and people come here every day to complain. Two division championships, plus this year, even with the entire starting staff but one injured all at the same time.

Was only "watching" the game by Gameday, and I think I misunderstood it when Gordon was lifted for the pinch runner and someone said "he looks hurt."  I never want to make light of actual injury.*

* Unless perhaps it's a Yankee or White Sox player.

Well, this aged like fine wine.

But I agree that sitting Buxton and Correa is a pretty crappy thing to do to home fans on a Saturday afternoon.

On the road? Sure, do whatever you want... but there were tens of thousands of people who paid good money to watch the Twins best two players.
