Vanimal46 Old-Timey Member Posted June 9, 2022 Posted June 9, 2022 Got out of that relatively unscathed. Hopefully we see Archer start the 6th.
wsnydes Old-Timey Member Posted June 9, 2022 Posted June 9, 2022 Damage limited. Let's get that one back.

Mill1634 Verified Member Posted June 9, 2022 Posted June 9, 2022 Great job by Archer. He wasn't really helped out by his defense at all (although the double play did help get him out of a jam), and he held a great lineup to one run. I suspect we finish this one with some sort of Jax-Smith-Pagan-Duran combo, although the order may be different.

nicksaviking Community Moderator Posted June 9, 2022 Posted June 9, 2022 Only gave one run back. I’m guessing most of us assumed they’d give them all back.
wsnydes Old-Timey Member Posted June 9, 2022 Posted June 9, 2022 That meeting in the dugout looks like Archer is done.
Richie the Rally Goat Community Moderator Posted June 9, 2022 Posted June 9, 2022 Archer’s best outing of the season. Good timing. In the warmups Gladden scoffed because Archer’s last outing was his longest at 57 pitches for quite some time (2019 I think) I doubt he comes back out for the 6th at 70 pitches
Brock Beauchamp Site Manager Posted June 9, 2022 Posted June 9, 2022 Easiest way to score is with one swing.
Mill1634 Verified Member Posted June 9, 2022 Posted June 9, 2022 JEFFERS JOLT!!!! He needed that so badly, and he crushed that after just missing one his last AB.
nicksaviking Community Moderator Posted June 9, 2022 Posted June 9, 2022 Jeffers is allowed to do that?!?
wsnydes Old-Timey Member Posted June 9, 2022 Posted June 9, 2022 It's more fun when the twins are the ones getting the runs they just allowed back.

He’s only thrown 70 and he’s been effective the whole way. None of that has mattered in any of his previous starts.

Doctor Gast Verified Member Posted June 9, 2022 Posted June 9, 2022 Many opportunities that Jeffers could have called for the change up for SOs but never called for the change up. He didn't call for the change up all game, bad mistake.
