If there are health issues, he shouldn't be playing.

Is it your contention he's playing while still suffering covid effects?

My contention is I don’t know, and neither do you. So you can either continue complaining about something you have no control over, or move on.

By the way, great tone you’re setting here head moderator. My negativity bingo card is almost filled up before the first pitch.

Truth. I expect another big loss. And I won't be really bothered if it happens. It's one game. Against a historically great team. The comments on this site? Ugh.

Yeah, I don’t really have the energy for this place tonight, I just want to watch what is hopefully a good ballgame

I'll be golfing and not here, so I should stay sane.

I would feel a lot more confident if Garlick was healthy. Winning tonight is "needed", because I don't think anyone can squint hard enough and see a win tomorrow.

Yankees 7, Twins 3

PTC: Miranda

Hit 'em straight and long...

...and in the correct direction!

Also, as an avid golfer, I'm not entirely sure that golf is the way to stay sane! :)

Great first inning from Archer. I am cautiously optimistic about him against this lineup. He has a good slider against a RHH heavy lineup. There is a world out there where he has 5 successful innings tonight.

He's got brain fog or vertigo and they're standing him 4 inches from a baseball thrown at 90 mph?

If he wasn't over his covid symptoms, he wouldn't be active.

This is Rocco being Rocco. I bet he gets a day off before the week is over, too.

Agreed, also think it’s safe to assume that if he didn’t have any symptoms he’d have been out the minimum 5 days rather than the 8 or 9 days he was out

That thought occurred to me as I was writing that.

It’s a tough game, but I truly believe it helps with sanity. Much better than watching the news or arguing about the Twins

Were the Yankees running a 4 man OF, or were all 3 OF's playing within 120 feet of each other?

It was, apparently. Great job by BSN to not show it, par the course.

I’m impressed some of you found Correa’s personal phone number, gave a full body assessment of him, studied epidemiology, hacked the Twins’ servers to get full access of his medical records, and determined he should play SS tonight. Really impressed.

I just moved my mouse over the day to stay active on Slack.

And yet the Twins see fit to put him in the lineup as DH.

I'm going to skip over all the Correa COVID talk and just say this:

I'm happy he's back! The Twins are a better team with our 35 million dollar man in the lineup. Palacios handled himself well and fielded the position excellently. Sucks to see him go down, but I think his audition was well received by the FO, and Twins fans alike.

I'm excited to see how the Twins handle Cortes with how he's pitching this year. That caterpillar has been dominating the league this year! I thought Yankees players weren't allowed any facial hair. Do they allow just moustaches now? All jokes aside I hope we can rise to the occasion like we've been against strong SPs of late.

Go Twins!

I’m happy to see C4 back too! He’s vital to the lineup

Agreed! In my opinion, he's a lot like Buxton where even if he isn't performing the greatest, his presence and leadership resonates in that clubhouse and makes our team that much more confident and successful.

I feel like I'm in the minority that both wants Correa to stay with the Twins, and thinks there's a strong chance he does after reading/listening to interviews with Correa, and the FO.

I was kind of joking as I assumed you were, but betting on the Yankees as a means to jinx them? Nothing more needs to be said about that really… and you did say that you won a nice chunk of money and since the Yankees were the favorites, in order to win a nice chunk you have to put up a nicer chunk

Fair enough, I think I over-embellished by saying "good chunk", I didn't put much in so I don't win a whole ton.

Totally agree with that.
