If you're going to pull Sands when it's 4-2 against Stanton with 2 outs, why don't you just pull him against Judge when it's 3-2 with one out? Makes ZERO sense from our self proclaimed Manager of the Year by TD's owner.

Pretty on-brand effort from Sands. 3.2 IP and 4 ER, which is exactly his season average.

He's got no business on this roster. Meanwhile we've got Winder, Ober, Gray and Ryan who could ALL be pitching now but are being held back for "extra rest" just in case. Hope it's worth it in the long run, I guess we'll just have to wait and see in Sept when we look at the final standings.

I think Rocco made the wrong call there, but the end result was probably the same even if he went to the bullpen early (giving up 1 run) - I feel like we're lucky to still be in a 2 run game.
