Sano also tweaked his knee during the craziness at the end of the game Tuesday.

Sanchez still nursing his abdominal issue.

Cold weather sore knee or injured sore knee? The Twins need buxton to play 5-6 times every week.

Same knee.  It was only described as sore.  I'm guessing that the cold doesn't help.

Mosey on down to behind home plate so you get some TV time!

Oops. Meant to quote @Melissa

A couple of game notes. It'll be nice to see Nelson Cruz coming up!

Oh fudge! That's right! I remember crossing my fingers during the offseason he'd come back to Minnesota

I remember watching Tony O and Mickey Mantle hobbling up to the plate game in and game out.  They wore braces and their legs wrapped up, they looked like they were walking like frankenstein.

Correct.

I will also have to find a way to watch the game, as MLB.TV blocks me from watching both Florida teams down in these parts. I wonder if a VPN would work? Gonna have to test that out I guess.

This inning ain't going well.

Lots of pitches being thrown too.

Trending to be a 4 and out the door outing for Ober.

Yup.  He certainly doesn't have it so far today.

Well, this doesn't look to be a long start for Ober.  He seems to be fighting it, but at least he's still thrown up zeros.

I wonder if Winder will be ready on three days rest.

This guy is achieving peak performance. My question is did he use PEDs like Tums to achieve the record?

I like cheesesteaks, but that makes my stomach churn just thinking about eating that many in such a short span.

Last night would have been more opportune time to rest Buck, with the match-up and cold night air. Today's match-up is a bit more challenging and day temp. Plus RHP last night and LHP today.

Maybe his knee wasn't bothering him as much last night.....

FYI speaking of Cruz,  the end of last year and this year, it is looking like father time is catching up to Cruz.  His stats have dropped precipitously,  especially this year even though its a small sample size.

Giving him today off does give him two full days off instead of a day and a half.  There's some benefit there.
