As Chief said this morning on the postgame thread: it's not remotely unusual for the Twins to lose/blow games like this.

For most teams these meltdowns happen once or twice a season. It's like every game with this pitching staff.

It is a lost year. It is possible they wanted to see if the RP could work his way out of a jam or not. Also, small possibility they are thinking of dealing one of the remaining RPs, and he was told to sit them today ......

I'm glad Rocco raced outof the dugout to at least protest the catch.  I know it would have been a waste of time, but at least would have been nice.  It's possible WEswt couldn't wake Rocco up, fast enough.

I hope everyone can appreciate that they watched history today. Never before has Juan Minaya pitched more than 2 1/3 innings in a MLB game. This was a personal record for the ages.
