Dude, that debt was paid somewhere around the time Phil Cuzzi stared down a ball three feet fair and called it foul.

LOL I’m just saying. Some say that was the weakest WS of all time.

Garver is sleepwalking through this series.

he is not alone. but tonite he is totally awful at the plate...and his interference cost us a run. guess you might say he's having a bad game!

LOL - AGREED!

Offense, bullpen, and starters failed when it all mattered most. I could give a damn about an HR record or a 100 win season. If the Twins get swept I consider this season a complete failure.

A division title participation trophy? Please.

What the **** did we ever do to the baseball gods?

It’s all MN sports...can’t make it up.

East coast teams win everything

If you ask some, ‘87 never should have happened. Maybe it’s a make up

16 years of make-ups? Hmm, my MN Sports math, that's about right. We're still paying for the Gophers final four run in 1997 too. And here I thought sucking for most of the 90's and contraction were enough to make up for it.

How come we never got a guy like Torres when we were trading Aguilera and then resigning him?

It's because the Yankees were willing to trade almost nothing to acquire a PR damaged Chapman. We were not.

But they game us '91 first, then decided to **** us?

Maybe it’s a make up for Lonnie smith’s baserunning boner

Arraez gets more balls above the zone called strikes than anyone.

It looks to me like they are making the top of the box too low for him. He starts in a crouch, but then straightens up when he's about to swing.

That curve to Sanchez sure looked like a strike, though.

This is the least fun I've ever had watching baseball.

Prolly mentioned before, I had a great seat for Kirby's final plate appearance. :(

unfortunately the front office does not think like this

Confused.

Yankees traded for Chapman after he got in a domestic incident and then flipped him to the Cubs for Torres. Then they signed him in the offseason.

Well they did have to win the division to make the playoffs.

I think you're right. I did not totally expect to win this series, but I absolutely came into the series very nervous because I really thought that it would be a hard-fought series. Even Gardenhire's teams fought valiantly. I particularly remember the Joe Nathan blown save, we played hard in that one. And then also the one where Ruben Sierra hit that home run. We played that game really hard. If we lose this game, this season means basically nothing to me.

I agree on the HR record.

A 100 win regular season is nothing to sneeze at.

However, ultimately you're remembered for the post season. And righfully so. And this team really isn't built to win in the postseason, and was a bit unlucky to lose so much starting pitching down the stretch.
