MileHighTwinsFan Verified Member Posted October 7, 2019 Posted October 7, 2019 What's the reasoning for putting Rosario in RF and Cave in LF? Have they come to the conclusion that Rosario doesn't have the range to cover the more spacious left field at Target Field?
LVTwinsfan Verified Member Posted October 7, 2019 Posted October 7, 2019 Don’t tell me how many losses in a row, I don’t want to hear about how good the Yankee hitters are, I don’t care that the odds are against us, if you got anything negative to say to me just talk to the hand. THE TWINS WIN TONIGHT!

ashbury Verified Member Posted October 7, 2019 Posted October 7, 2019 fwiw, baseball reference’s Jake Odorizzi page says it is “unclear” if he will start game 3 due to hamstring tightness. https://www.baseball-reference.com/players/o/odorija01.shtmlOh for Pete's sake.
diehardtwinsfan Old-Timey Member Posted October 7, 2019 Posted October 7, 2019 ugh.... I really just want this streak to end... is that too much to ask?

insagt1 Verified Member Posted October 7, 2019 Posted October 7, 2019 The lineup? Meh? Kelpler can't hit. Why bat him leadoff? Rosario....needs to not bat cleanup. The lineup has not worked...why not shake it up? Twins have 'danced' with everyone on the 25 man this year. They don't 'owe; anyone anything. Kepler probably has a legit excuse for not being able to hit...but Rosario has none. Watching Kep trying to swing the bat is painfully sad. He can't do it. Here's a thought for our strike out kings....how about a bunt...how about trying to beat the shift. Get some baserunners. don't strike out.
Nine of twelve Verified Member Posted October 8, 2019 Posted October 8, 2019 I may not be able to contribute a lot to tonight's thread but I want to say this now: Yankee fans will be absolutely devastated after their team loses its third straight game on Thursday.
DocBauer Old-Timey Member Posted October 8, 2019 Posted October 8, 2019 Is it game 165 or last game of the year? Come on Twins! Come on baseball gods! Twins have been down before and done it! Let's add to the magic of this season! (*Note: Call me stressed or sudden superstitious, I almost feel like not watching thinking they will win if I'm NOT looking in.)

mrtwinsfan Old-Timey Member Posted October 8, 2019 Posted October 8, 2019 Better hit early and often , Severino gonna let it loose - knowing he only gonna go 3-4 innings

FlauerPauer Verified Member Posted October 8, 2019 Posted October 8, 2019 Hopefully the fans will take a page out of the yankee fans book. Those dudes and dudettes were rocking the entire time. Almost everyone was on their feet and letting themselves be heard. Time for the Minnesota faithful to make it really hard for the yankee players.
diehardtwinsfan Old-Timey Member Posted October 8, 2019 Posted October 8, 2019 Yeah--they are all laughing now....would be nice to shut them all upyeah... hate the fact that the announcers are clearly Yankees fans... heck, even Papi won't give his former team some love.
h2oface Old-Timey Member Posted October 8, 2019 Posted October 8, 2019 First of all....... ALL THESE GUYS CAN HIT! They just need to do it in the next three games. To suggest that Kepler can't hit is just not true. This team just needs to do what they are capable of and perform, and not embarass themselves or their fans any longer. Every other team in the final 8 have earned respect now, except our Minnesota Twins. And remember, the Yankees owned the Red Sox, year after year, after year after year after year, and were again ahead 3 games to none, and became the only MLB team to ever lose a series after being ahead 3-0. Nothing would be sweeter than taking the Yankees out after trailing 2 games to none. No doom and gloom for this game before it even starts. All future and no past. One at a time. It may as well start tonight. Let the doom and gloom wait until it is earned for this game. It could very well be a waste of time.

Time for the Minnesota faithful to make it really hard for the yankee players. If the loud crowd is really the reason for why the Twins sucked at the plate and on the mound, then we should really try amping things up just for homefield advantage. I know that'll be hard with a Minnesotan crowd, but c'mon... they need to get some "Yankees suck" chants going midway through the game.
