PS Game Thread "Luke" Twins vs Yankees 7:40pm cdt 10/7/2019ad

[VATwinsFan]

game ends what time -  11:59

Why so early?

[LaBombo]

For as much as Garver said he worked on his defense this last offseason I don't see too much difference

Biggest difference is that it seems much more tolerable now that it's attached to a .630 slugging pct.

[twinsnorth49]

Of course he didn’t......

[diehardtwinsfan]

so apparently teh Yankees aren't allowed to get strikes on check swings? Both of those went too far.

[ashbury]

Encarnacion has really strong wrists, holding up on that one.

[FlauerPauer]

That's two!!!!!

[Don Walcott]

Good job, Jake.

Bad job, umps.

[D. Hocking]

And so it begins with the umps.

We are no longer in NYC correct?

Out 3 or really 4....

[operation mindcrime]

YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!

[diehardtwinsfan]

Good start. No runs!

[insagt1]

should be out of the 1st inning...thanks a bunch Garver.....umps already giving Yankee hitters the benefit of the doubt. But no runs! Yesssss

[twinsnorth49]

DO THE FRIGGIN UMPS HAVE MONEY ON THIS SERIES?? THAT'S STRIKE THREE TO GARDNER

That’s a rhetorical question......right?

[MVP Nick Punto]

I wasn't able to watch orlisten last game, which may have been fortuitous, given the result. I hope our team does better this game.

[Riverbrian]

Encarnacion has really strong wrists, holding up on that one.

If the ball is where the bat is... He hits it.

Strike in my book.

[wabene]

Way to hang in there! We're playing ten guys out there

That was a real nice inning Odorizzi. Now let’s put up a crooked number

[VATwinsFan]

Time for der Schlagmeister to do some schlagging.

[mrtwinsfan]

Mitch Garver,  You need to wake up, --- Eddie -Patience   everyone else,  good at bats wanted here

[USAFChief]

Knock that jerk Encarnacion and his smug wink on his *** next time up.

Screw the wrists the bat crossed the plate

[diehardtwinsfan]

Patient at bats boys... give them a taste of their own medicine.

[mrtwinsfan]

Why so early?

meant a.m tommorow

Strike in my book.

That describes a lot of legitimate check swings, though.

That one was a fair call, I thought.

After half an inning, it's Yankees 0, Twins 0, Umpires 0, though the latter gave it a good try. This has been your Circus Boy Update.

[FlauerPauer]

Can the boys score like 15 runs this game?

Yeah, I'm tired of the bs... every close pitch, every check swing, etc... It adds up!  Giving hitter's 'hitter's counts', putting more stress on our pitchers (having to throw more pitches AND more pitches near the heart of the plate... FREAKING OVER IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!

[diehardtwinsfan]

Severino missing wide on teh first 2... hope that trend continues.

[Riverbrian]

OK... Fastball/Change Up Guy in Severino.

We got some hitters who like that sort of thing.

[Don Walcott]

Severino might help us out with that patience thing.

[gocgo]

The birdman checked his swing. Gardner did not and it wasn't close. Just once let the close calls go our way.

[twinsnorth49]

Work counts on Severino tonight, have to.
