Looking over Gio’s career, I was surprised at how consistently good he’s been. Having lived in DC and being spoiled with Strasburg and Scherzer, it’s easy to forget how solid he was. I had felt he really fell off in the past few years, and while that is partially true, he still has been quite good for at least half of the past several years.

 

That said, he’s a slow-throwing lefty, I think the Twins should be able to put up some good swings and some crooked numbers against him today. He’s also given up an unusually low number of homers this year...time for some quick regression?

On an unrelated note, I’ll be at Nats Park this afternoon to see Strasburg and the Nats take on Trevor Bauer and the Reds. I’m thinking I should have bought tickets in center field if I wanted to catch a ball.

This is the kind of day that Polanco should be sitting in favor of Arraez or Adrianza.  That being said Arraez and shine let's get that W!

Anyone know when the game will be available for replay? I see previous games on their channel, so they obviously put it up eventually.

Once again the offense bails out a dreadful performance by a relief pitcher. Names don’t matter they have all contributed to the disaster which is the Twins bullpen. Exciting way to win a game though, moving on...

Last night Bremer sounded pissed or Jealous ?that Morneau gets to do the you tubr game,  sounded Funny, sure Richard gets a nice seat today,

I would think Bremer would treasure his days off.

Morneau sure has come out of his shell since his first few broadcasts. His soft-spoken demeanor is starting to transition into a more classic sports color man. Clearly he's more confident in his voice.  He's good.
