It's a new team, he's now on a contender, facing his old team, and he's just that type of guy.

And good for him. Have some effing fun out there, man. It's a game.

The fake check swing call—that was a nice touch :)

There are splits and there are SPLITS.

That means he spent a week hitting for roughly a 2.000 OPS. That's absurd.

Yeah, it's absurd. It would be great if he was more consistent (somewhere in the middle) from week to week instead of so hot and cold.

Yep. Not sure how to feel. Indians lineup looks a bit better, and they have pitching depth, but it is a big question mark at this point. Bieber, and a bunch of "good before injuries" guys. Still confident in our chances now that they'll have to find a 5th starter to replace bauer.

Honest question. I saw him chatting up Marwin and wondered if they were speaking English or Spanish.

Not a big deal, just curious.

C’mon, Brock ... can’t you read lips well enough to know what language two guys are speaking?

Hm.

Yet another Trevor. To go along with Tyler and Taylor, etc...

I remember the old umpire Ron Luciano, who turned broadcaster for a while. He was doing a Brewers game then, with Gorman Thomas, Robin Yount, Sal Bando and the gang. He was scoffing when Thomas was up, "Gorman. That's not a ballplayer's name. Gorman, Robin." Thomas made an out, and Bando came up. "Sal! Now that's a ballplayer name!"

He's been crazy consistent all year. His OPS has hovered just over 1.000 all season. One bad week from a catcher who plays 3-4 times a week can make it *look* like he has crazy fluctuations but he's been pretty much amazing from the start of the season until today.

Geez it would be nice to see these guys be able to execute some small ball. Not that they really need it that much, but it would force other teams to at least respect that they could do it.

Are you kidding me? Have you watched Romo? The dude doesn't stop bouncing long enough for a 24fps camera to be anything other than a blur. He's basically Tigger.

I LOVE Wes Johnson! But every time I watch him walk out to the mound my brain flashes " little league".

Anyone else?

He looks like the "coach" for Kalamazoo, but doesn't argue as often.

His interview with La Velle five hours after he was traded, he sounded like Jeff Spicoli after a pot of coffee.

So the Mets and Reds, non contending teams, are buying good/great pitching.

Idiots or genius?

Yes

On June 13, 2017. Puig made an obscene gesture at Indians fans at Progressive Field after hitting a home run. The next day, he was suspended for a game, but he appealed the suspension and it was rescinded.  I'm sure he'll be popular in Cleveland.
