I'm glad the pitcher is all right, but, throwing at Astudillo's head wasn't exactly cool.

Astudillo: "Throw 95 mph at my head and I'll hit 105 mph at yours!"

no poultry cooking on game day? What about beef or pork? Can I smoke a rack of ribs? Or should we all go vegan from April to November just in case?

I'm late to the Game Thread after cleaning up from my first attempt at a Swineapple.

Hollowed out a pineapple, stuffed it with pork, wrapped it in a bacon weave* and smoked it. Had a little problem with the smoker, so I had to finish it off in the oven to get it done in time for guests, but it wasn't bad for a first try. Learned a few things, but will try it again.

*And seriously, if the recipe refers to a "bacon weave," how can you not try it, right?

Pineda must have a clause in his contract paying him extra for "quality starts." He seems to go exactly 6 innings with exactly 3 runs almost every game.

I’m the only one here who would read ‘bacon weave’ and move onto another recipe. I’m not the biggest fan of bacon.

Preservation.

I wonder if that hit him through his glove.

From behind it looks like it might have glanced off his cheek and into the glove. From the front it looks like it didn't.  Front has a better angle, back has a closer look.  We'll have to hear what he says (if we hear what he says.)

mmm bacon.... I’m allergic to pineapple. Not the little baby itchy either... full blown choke to death on my tongue, jab myself with the epipen and pray to make it to the ER in time allergic.

So bacon weave of horrible agonizing death sounds kinda tempting, if I’m standing in the parking lot of the ER, I might think about it.

Well, not counting those of us who don't eat meat ...

How do you send Arraez down? I know someone has to go and he has options, but man, you gotta ride the hot bat. He's looked legit and not once over matched. I understand the whole idea of every day at bats, but don't ya think the winning ways will be just as important as the at bats?

I'd send Astudillo down without question.

the starting pitching has been good enough that the bullpen isn’t getting enough work.

May doesn’t have options, but something isn’t right. He needs a restart.

Same here, He needs to start taking pitches and looking to do damage. He looks like he just want to make contact for the sake of making contact.

No way May makes it through waivers.

Brewers have maximized their scoring opportunities, the Twins have not. It really feels like this should be much more than a 1 run lead.

Garver isn’t back yet

Could be back this weekend.  Sending someone down isn't really an issue until then.

The Twins bullpen has pitched in very few games in recent weeks where the score was within 3 runs, I'm curious to see how they cover three innings with May struggling.

he’s healed unbelievably fast, there is a chance he aggravates his injury during rehab. Agreed, I’d send Willians down when Garver is ready.
