Wow, what a HR by Cron! These hitters are doing a good job responding after our pitchers give up runs.

The radio guys* just said that the Twins have scored in the inning immediately following an opponent's run 48 percent of the time. That's the best mark in the majors.

*And by "radio guys," I mean Provus. No way Gladden comes up with a tidbit like that.

The Blue Jays lineup is horrid.... Perez has done a decent job so far today, but I want to wait a bit more before making any conclusions

Have any balls off the Jays' bats had an exit velocity under 100mph?

Perez is getting by with a bit of smoke and mirrors tonight.

I think Perez gets by with smoke and mirrors all the time...until he gets clobbered

I'm not entirely ready to write him off yet. It will be interesting to see how the increased velocity impacts his performance, if it does at all.

At least he's not throwing the ball all over the place tonight. His command is decent, much better than his bullpen innings.

More Morneau, Less Morris

Need a bad meal once in a while to better appreciate the good ones.

I usually don’t think of guys hitting 95 as smoke and mirrors.

Not the his plus velocity means he’ll be good.

That was an example of how you can be watching a rather mundane baseball game and suddenly something happens that I've never seen happen before.

Yep. I can't recall ever seeing that happen before (where a runner gets picked off, not being confused by the count... I've seen that several times).

Well, color me surprised, Perez made it through 6 innings.

Nice, job, sir!

not true in the least.

It's what I tell myself after I've had a truly bad meal. Meals that were memorably bad. Meals that make one pine for the haute cuisine of McDonalds.

97 MPH on ball 4 to the .143 hitter .

Far exceeded expectations tonight...some luck in play, which he took advice of.

Is there such a thing as luke warme cuisine?

Ryne Harper is pitching in a high leverage situation... it's against the 8-9-1 hitters, but still, this will be big for him.

It required the only two players on the field for the Jays not knowing what the count was--both the batter and the baserunner. If either one had been paying attention that would not have happened. Additionally it required Cron to be paying attention.
