THAT'S ON YOU, ROCCO!!!!  LEARN TO MANAGE A BULLPEN!!

Mejia, there should be a flight waiting for you to Rochester tomorrow morning....tonight if you hurry.

0-2 fat pitch - we have had our share of disaster relief outings. Rocco looks like he likes to leave the pitcher out there to figure things out.

Just as I said yesterday, our bullpen was likely to be exposed with our high leverage guys needing breaks. Mejia has been hittable lately and he's not built for high leverage situations. The biggest mistake was having him go up against the heart of the Toronto lineup.

What, and put in Vasquez?

Anyone but Mejia at that point. Had a chance after the double. Instead..... throw away a game. It was just so obvious. And I made the call right after the 2 foot outside pitch. Was I wrong?

You can't win every game. You also can't use Rogers and Hildenberger every game.

With that said, Mejia may be the least watchable pitcher right now.

he would get claimed, wouldn’t he?

I'd gladly let someone else have him.  He didn't prove anything as a starter that he was any good there and he really hasn't shown much as a reliever either.

...but you CAN use them when you have a two run lead in the 8th.... especially in APRIL!

The pen rears its partially ugly head again.

You cant get by in today's baseball with a weak pen. Bullpens are used every game, and a strong, deep one is one of the primary keys to winning.
