drock2190 Verified Member Posted July 1, 2018 Posted July 1, 2018 Dick complains about the length of Astudillo's at bats. Unbelievable. You want the game to go any slower??!
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted July 1, 2018 Posted July 1, 2018 That was such a pitiful episode. A big league manager would have told the guys to suck it up and play the game. The softness starts at the top. Everything about this team right now is soft.
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted July 1, 2018 Posted July 1, 2018 How quickly do jokes go bad in hot weather?
Blake Verified Member Posted July 1, 2018 Author Posted July 1, 2018 He's always been a horrible announcer.Bremer is about league average, from what I can tell. The team is playing badly and, as an announcer, one has to talk about something other than harping on how bad the team is, because, well, he'd be out of work.
jun Verified Member Posted July 1, 2018 Posted July 1, 2018 I really don't want to see Morrison in the lineup anymore this season.I really don't want to see Dozier in Twins' clubhouse next season. They are like cancer to this team.
ChrisKnutson Verified Member Posted July 1, 2018 Posted July 1, 2018 For the Twins organization as a whole, changes need to be made. Now. Enough excuses, just admit it, this is a team of losers. Where’s the accountability and the expectation to at least be competitive.
Danchat Old-Timey Member Posted July 1, 2018 Posted July 1, 2018 I don't get how the Twins have 6 hits to Chicago's 7 hits but have 1 run to 8 runs. The Cubs have been unbelievably good in RISP situations so far.
S. Verified Member Posted July 1, 2018 Posted July 1, 2018 I really don't want to see Dozier in Twins' clubhouse next season. But he's a real clubhouse leader while he's striking out or halfassing it down the line on a ground out.
jun Verified Member Posted July 1, 2018 Posted July 1, 2018 Twins are down 8-1 and Dick is talking about how many pitches Lester has thrown. I'm going to hold back with the sarcasm because it has to be tough to be a Twins announcer with the team playing as badly as it is.He really has nothing positive to talk about other than Lester's pitch count.
drock2190 Verified Member Posted July 1, 2018 Posted July 1, 2018 Guys going shirtless in the stands...where are all the girls in bikini's?

The Cubs have been unbelievably good in RISP situations so far.The Cubs hitters rarely strike out looking. They are so disciplined. They don't chase pitches way out and they always swing at hittable pitches and they don't have a pattern like Mauer who never hits the first pitch.
Circus Boy Verified Member Posted July 1, 2018 Posted July 1, 2018 Today is no surprise, I guess. Lynn's 6-6 career against the Cubs, but his last win was five years ago. He's 0-3 and ERA way over 5 in the past three seasons.
S. Verified Member Posted July 1, 2018 Posted July 1, 2018 Interleague play in an NL park. 4 man bench, 3 of them likely unavailable. Whole damn bullpen pitched yesterday. Didn't call up a single player for todays game. What the hell is this front office doing?
curt1965 Verified Member Posted July 1, 2018 Posted July 1, 2018 It’s going to be 5 and fly for Lester
Han Joelo Verified Member Posted July 1, 2018 Posted July 1, 2018 I hope Magill is soaking these moments up (not being snarky.) Surely he'll be on his way out after the game, whether he deserved it or not.
bighat Verified Member Posted July 1, 2018 Posted July 1, 2018 The Twins really need to just blow this whole thing up and start from scratch. Gonna be 2021 before this team is even remotely competitive again. That 2017 wild card run was a blast, but it looks like we are going to pay a heavy price for that ride.
jun Verified Member Posted July 1, 2018 Posted July 1, 2018 I can feel for Molitor. He can't wait for this game to end. Just like last game. Or just like the game before. Or just like that game against the Red Sox.
ChrisKnutson Verified Member Posted July 1, 2018 Posted July 1, 2018 At this point, I don’t care about how much value we can get out of these bums in a trade. And neither should Falvine, or they’ll be gone too. What’s important is that Gonsalves, Gordon, Wade, Rooker, Kirilloff, Lewis, and our AAA bullpen get playing time at some point in the 2nd half.

Probably more like double that with the state of the farm system
S. Verified Member Posted July 1, 2018 Posted July 1, 2018 Heads up baseball, Logan. What exactly does this team have to do before Molitor is fired? There are little league teams that have better fundamentals than this team.
Vanimal46 Old-Timey Member Posted July 1, 2018 Posted July 1, 2018 Morrison's giving free bases all day.

The team is playing badly and, as an announcer, one has to talk about something other than harping on how bad the team is, because, well, he'd be out of work.Problem is, he's always been bad. Even when they are winning. He and Bert say the same things over and over again (which gets incredibly old) and neither seem to care about making sure what they say is actually true. Obviously, a good chunk of the time their info is correct but more often than should be, the info is wrong and quick and easy research would show that. It's why I often choose the other team's broadcast feed. That and because they are stuck in the past.
slash129 Verified Member Posted July 1, 2018 Posted July 1, 2018 Lance Lynn was worth the wait ... Lolololol.
yarnivek1972 Verified Member Posted July 1, 2018 Posted July 1, 2018 It’s going to be 5 and fly for LesterNot necesarily. He’s only at 73. That’s pathetic considering he was at 50 after 2. Although, given the conditions, probably done after this.
kydoty Verified Member Posted July 1, 2018 Posted July 1, 2018 Nick Gordon almost got his first call up with Dozier’s awkward fall. That was scary looking.
MangLitch Verified Member Posted July 1, 2018 Posted July 1, 2018 As bad as the Twins are, there are 2 teams within the Division and about 5 teams total that the Twins have no chance of catching. They are that BAD.I would normally agree, but the last 6 games should make us believe that nothing is impossible when it comes to losing for these guys. This could get ugly real quick. We have 35 wins? All it would take is to win 25 from here on and boom. If it weren’t for that little hot streak, 25 wins would be realistic. I’m not counting them out of 100 losses. This is just a new level of ineptitude.
Twodogs Verified Member Posted July 1, 2018 Posted July 1, 2018 It appears that the chariot that twins pitching was riding in all year has turned back into pumpkins.
