This lineup would look a lot better with Mauer and Kepler in both offensively and defensively. Mauer 1st, Kepler RF and Grossman DH. Kepler hits LHP.

Clearly it wouldn’t have done anything other than supplying some revenge for knocking out our best hitter at the time.

Wow, Lester is not a good career hitter... I think we're back to bad Lynn.    :banghead:   Where's the puking smiley?

 

Also, that's another reason not to bunt and give the Twins a free out. I mean, there's really no way to anticipate Lester hitting a HR there but still, when you swing away, good things happen.

It baffles me why the Twins didn't call up any fresh relievers. It wasn't hard to see coming that they were going to need some today, and just in case of a bad start... hopefully Magill is ready to go another 3 innings today.
