I continue to be baffled by the lack of defensive replacements and moves in general.  When Detroit brought in a right handed reliever, we left Lamarre in...why no Cave, why no Kepler?  Scuffling?  Isn't that what Lamarre is doing?  When you have a reliever that has pitched in over half your games, it's just nuts.  At some point, as a manager, you need to trust some guys....and not the same guys over and over and over until their arms fall off.

The Tigers' Victor Reyes was 2-for-17 with nine strikeouts after 0-2 counts this season, before lacing that RBI single off Reed.

But at least we have lots of divisional games left

I get it where guys are going to beat up Reed...but tonight, I thought he pitched well and had horrible luck and whoever that guy that squibbed one down the first base line was got an extra strike.  The first pitch to him was at the knees and down the middle of the plate.  I could argue that it should have been hit a long way and instead it gets called a ball.  Another 0-2 count and he throws one 3 inches off the plate that the guy slaps the opposite way.  I felt bad for him tonight.  He could not catch a break.
