TFRazor Verified Member Posted May 10, 2018 Posted May 10, 2018 I'm assuming because this is because he slashes .316/.363/.561 in 28 career games vs the Twins. Including 7 home runs?correct me if I'm wrong but isn't Ian Kinsler also on the angels? That's someone else we can never get out.
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted May 10, 2018 Posted May 10, 2018 Maybe one will hop by someday. On his way to court? bah-dum-tschh Riverbrian 1
Blake Verified Member Posted May 10, 2018 Posted May 10, 2018 Because no series at the Big A will ever be the same for me: True story: I was at this game. I was in the upper portion of the uppermost deck, somewhere between home and first...and I could see the emory board float to the grass, without binoculars. http://images.performgroup.com/di/library/sporting_news/2b/53/joeniekro-nailfile-mlb-ftr-080317jpg_15ba7al1qkc4y11bt0n6hnobwb.jpg?t=-1473562299&w=960&quality=70 and Mr Umpire had no trouble seeing it, either What's really funny, though, is that Hrbek, I think it was Hrbek, came out a couple of years ago and said that Niekro wasn't using the emery board to scuff the baseballs. Niekro actually had a very small piece of sandpaper glued to the palm of his hand. Anyway, I think that's what I read. Could be wrong. David HK, gil4 and glunn 3
TFRazor Verified Member Posted May 10, 2018 Posted May 10, 2018 Another great intro by RB. I threw out my back last night, but with the aid of muscle relaxers I hope to be at the game tonight. You can only use them IF you brought enough for everybody Riverbrian and glunn 2

Danchat Old-Timey Member Posted May 10, 2018 Posted May 10, 2018 Twins centerfielder Byron Buxton is back on the 25-man roster without a second rehab stint. I don't know if anyone else reported this here, but Buxton's back. I'm surprised he's not going to rehab the toe injury, but I suppose he can just tough it out. LaMarre is heading back to AAA as the corresponding move. USAFChief, glunn, Blake and 1 other 4

Platoon Verified Member Posted May 10, 2018 Posted May 10, 2018 Make sure you take one, then have a beer. I tried something similar years ago for a toothache. Motrin, beer, more beer, and I think a vodka tonic. I got violently ill, threw up like never before or since, fell asleep and woke up with both eyes swollen shut. But the tooth ache was al gone. See! It works! DocBauer, David HK, gil4 and 3 others 6
Craig Arko Old-Timey Member Posted May 10, 2018 Posted May 10, 2018 Berardino - Sano got the OK to rejoin #mntwins on Tuesday night, flew west on Wednesday night. Doesn’t know yet if he’ll be activated during this series but is hopeful: “I’m close.” Nine of twelve, Danchat and glunn 3
Han Joelo Verified Member Posted May 10, 2018 Posted May 10, 2018 Buxton's D will be a shot in the arm, and with others rolling and the team on a little win streak, no pressure on him with the bat. Glad he's back. Nine of twelve 1
David HK Verified Member Posted May 11, 2018 Posted May 11, 2018 Yeah, there are some all stars that weren't much more than a participation trophy.Pretty much that whole stretch of Twins All-Stars from the 80s/90s lean years.... We gotta pick one guy? Hm. Who's it gonna be this year? (Laudner, Dave Engel, The Coomster, Gary Ward, Doug Corbett, heck, even Eduardo Nunez....) Blake 1
David HK Verified Member Posted May 11, 2018 Posted May 11, 2018 That's a pretty darn good Angels lineup. I think to win we have to beat Garrett Richard's brains in. I say slugfest today. glunn 1
Mill1634 Verified Member Posted May 11, 2018 Posted May 11, 2018 Buxton is back!! Woo. Albeit, that may be a bad thing. Hopefully the BABIP god lives on in AAA.

Brock Beauchamp Site Manager Posted May 11, 2018 Posted May 11, 2018 The FS1 pregame crew makes me want to stick my head in the oven. "He's swinging at 35% of pitches outside the zone, which means he's swinging at 65% of pitches in the zone." No, that's not what that means. Not even a little bit. twinssporto Verified Member Posted May 11, 2018 Posted May 11, 2018 It's my fault...I'd just like to get that out of the way. Early on, in spring training, I said that the Angels were a train wreck. I based that on two things - Albert Pujols (if you pay him that much, you gotta play him) and Ohtani (who was struggling and looked overmatched in spring training). Now, I'm afraid, that this declaration of ineptitude will come back to bite me and my Minnesota Twins right in the buttocks. I'd just like to say that I am still not sold on the Angels as they have benefited from a weak schedule, but they have done what they were supposed to do with weaker opponents in contrast to our Twins (remember Tampa Bay?...Cincinatti?...yeah, I know). So, if our Twins do not have a favorable outcome in this series, it is my fault for bad mouthing the Angels early on.I love reverse psychology! You saved this game! Thank you!!! Riverbrian 1
Brock Beauchamp Site Manager Posted May 11, 2018 Posted May 11, 2018 And now Garrett Richards "is finally becoming the ace they wanted him to be." ... Garrett Richards? Ace? *turns on oven* BoofBonser and David HK 2

Brock Beauchamp Site Manager Posted May 11, 2018 Posted May 11, 2018 His 0.0 WAR this year is really helping...I mean, I'm not bashing Richards. He has velocity and could be a decent pitcher... but he's no ace. Never has been considered one, never will be unless he magically turns the corner at age 30. Kyle Gibson ranked higher on top 100 prospect lists if you need a frame of reference for Richards.

Nowhere near an ace. Brock Beauchamp 1
BoofBonser Verified Member Posted May 11, 2018 Posted May 11, 2018 In the last 3 years, Richards has thrown a total of 97 innings...
BoofBonser Verified Member Posted May 11, 2018 Posted May 11, 2018 And he already has 8 wild pitches in 35 innings pitched this year!
DocBauer Old-Timey Member Posted May 11, 2018 Posted May 11, 2018 Hooding Ceremony. I consider myself a pretty intelligent individual. Most people...on most but certainly not all days...would consider me a pretty intelligent individual. Maybe it's just growing up in the 80's or in smaller towns, but my initial thoughts were or his car getting a new paint job, OR, something pertaining to a White Snake video clip. Riverbrian 1

Mike Sixel Old-Timey Member Posted May 11, 2018 Posted May 11, 2018 Berrios can't throw a strike, and Upton settings at the first pitch? Thanks
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted May 11, 2018 Posted May 11, 2018 Great job getting out of that. Poor throw
