Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted May 11, 2018 Posted May 11, 2018 That really stinks. Pitching letting us down in a big way
David HK Verified Member Posted May 11, 2018 Posted May 11, 2018 Busy day today, not a lotta chances to check in- So left it alone when the boys got behind, checked back in when they tied it up! Had a quick meeting, then back just in time to see the return of Bad Pressly. Dang. Blake 1
Danchat Verified Member Posted May 11, 2018 Posted May 11, 2018 (edited) Gotta love how our best two pitchers in April, Berrios and Pressly, are blowing the game for us. That's just how baseball works, I guess. Edited May 11, 2018 by Danchat David HK 1
LaBombo Verified Member Posted May 11, 2018 Posted May 11, 2018 So the bullpen could still use a little work.
Hosken Bombo Disco Community Moderator Posted May 11, 2018 Posted May 11, 2018 Calhoun almost went yard and he's hitting like .067
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted May 11, 2018 Posted May 11, 2018 To be fair Pressly has worked just about every game for us LaBombo and Danchat 2
jun Verified Member Posted May 11, 2018 Posted May 11, 2018 It's better to let Pressly start a clean inning. He is known to let inherited runners score. LaBombo 1
LaBombo Verified Member Posted May 11, 2018 Posted May 11, 2018 Pressly very cautiously covering his mouth with his glove during the mound visit so that no lip-reader can see him say "Poop!"...
LaBombo Verified Member Posted May 11, 2018 Posted May 11, 2018 (edited) To be fair Pressly has worked just about every game for us If there's a better way to make sure a reliever is cooked when the postseason starts, the Twins would like to hear it. Edited May 11, 2018 by LaBombo David HK 1
Don Walcott Verified Member Posted May 11, 2018 Posted May 11, 2018 Walks a guy to get to Trout. Turns out to be a brilliant strategy. David HK 1
Blake Verified Member Posted May 11, 2018 Posted May 11, 2018 Didn't see his hand get plunked, but that would explain Max's comment to the trainer that was picked up faintly by the parabolic mic... "Lash it to me arm!" LaBombo 1
Comrade Bork Verified Member Posted May 11, 2018 Posted May 11, 2018 If he pulls him, Molly is wrong. If he keeps him in, Molly is wrong. This guys bullpen management is so freaking snakebit. Danchat 1
LaBombo Verified Member Posted May 11, 2018 Posted May 11, 2018 How many wild pitches and passed balls have directly led to runs? Cripes Exactly how many, or just, like, rounded to the nearest multiple of 10? Blake and David HK 2

Danchat Verified Member Posted May 11, 2018 Posted May 11, 2018 Seems like most Asian phenoms usually hit or pitch well when they reach the states... the Twins somehow ended up with the mega-busts Nishioka and Park. Ugh.
Blake Verified Member Posted May 11, 2018 Posted May 11, 2018 Man, that Ohtani is looking like the real deal. Darn it. LaBombo 1

FormerMinnasotan Provisional Member Posted May 11, 2018 Posted May 11, 2018 Seriously, what is wrong with Berrios? Since his start in New York he has been a below average pitcher. Is he hurt, or has he hit a mental wall he cannot shake? I had such high hopes for him, but now fear he might not be the pitcher we want him to be. He’s got the stuff, but I fear he doesn’t have the mental edge to be a top of the rotation starter we so desperately need (Romero might fulfill that promise someday soon, I just don’t expect him to do it this year as he will face rookie struggles).
Comrade Bork Verified Member Posted May 11, 2018 Posted May 11, 2018 WTF is up with this broadcast and not showing the twins first batter!
Hosken Bombo Disco Community Moderator Posted May 11, 2018 Posted May 11, 2018 Mauersie should change from #7 to #4-6-3 LaBombo 1

Hosken Bombo Disco Community Moderator Posted May 11, 2018 Posted May 11, 2018 Why wasn’t Buxton stealing? His hurt toe? The score? Hildenberger? The possibilities are endless LaBombo 1
LaBombo Verified Member Posted May 11, 2018 Posted May 11, 2018 It's one thing to play against teams with a rising superstar shortstop that we never had a shot at drafting, but seeing the formerly attainable Andrelton Simmons become a good hitter in addition to being a supernatural fielder is enough to make me want to sign a 'Free Nick Gordon!' before he even sniffs AAA.
LaBombo Verified Member Posted May 11, 2018 Posted May 11, 2018 Why wasn’t Buxton stealing? At the time of his injury he was abstaining from stealing for Lent. Someone just needs to remind him he's ok to steal until next March. Hosken Bombo Disco 1
