Can't hit, can't field, can't steal, doesn't fill a need.

Cool, cool.

Who's being removed from the 40-man to make room for him?

Wait, it's a minor-league contract. Teams make these off-season moves all the time. I'm not going to invest much further thought on him in particular.

Hey!  The stove is heating up.  Might get above zero in the ol' clubhouse.  This guy played 1B, 3B, 2B and C.  The "C" might be his ace in the hole.

We got him!

Nothing to see there.  Minor League contract.  Tommy Field replacement.  Last season he played for the Ducks...

He is a catcher/1B mostly btw.  Think Doumit.

The scenes from Major League where the construction workers and the guys in the bar are looking over the roster comes to mind.

(cough, cough)

[Guest]

Are they going to sign Bundini Brown next?

Move along, folks. Nothing to see here, move along.

The Twins still haven't filled their biggest hole - a backup catcher who can pitch.

Sounds like a perfect guy for a 5 day stink during the season...

Or, like most of the other 29 teams, the Twins could actually put 11 or 12 legitimate MLB pitchers on their roster.

The Twins keep the hot stove stoked.  Thanks guys.  We were afraid you forgot us.
