What a class act on his part. Going to miss him. I didn't want to see him go. I just think it was time to part ways. Here's hoping he finds a good situation for himself.

I wanted to see him go.  I'm sure he'll find a job elsewhere, so it's nothing personal, but at some point our favorite team parts ways with everyone.  This one was a year overdue, but good luck in his next stop to Trevor.

Earlier Trevor tweeted that he got fired. I wish I could put together as generous a statement after being fired. :)

Thanks, Trevor and good luck! And maybe if you come back to a Twins Fest one day you can be a guest speaker at a TD Winter Meltdown event! :)

Thanks for the memories TP! It WAS FUN watching you go from a scrawny SS to a "husky" 3B. You were always classy with the fans. It seemed like you were willing to be a standup guy for the team when someone needed to talk to the media or if the team needed a positive message. Pretty cool relationship with your Mom too. I hope you land somewhere with a great opportunity to win. Keep ripping Gladden and the other codgers!

Let's not cry too hard, life still seems pretty good for Plouffe overall. Hopefully he can bounce back from the injuries and get in a few more productive seasons.

No one's crying here ... but wishing him well.

It's easy to be this humble when minimum wage is 6 figures plus. We must remember this is a business. In the real world it takes people their whole careers to make this much money. It's a business and sometimes we lose sight of this. Just my bitter two cents haha.

I've always liked Plouffe. I'd rather the twins had kept him than Mauer, and it's not even close. He will find a good role with a team that can actually win games. Good luck to him, a guy like that makes his own luck though.

Trevor is an interesting player because my feelings echo what a lot of you have already said - even though at times I didn't understand why the Twins were keeping him I didn't dislike him. Another ex-Twin to follow, good luck to him...except when he's playing the Twins!

I gained a lot of respect and insight into how he relates to teammates from a story about him this past year.  He was in Rochester on a rehab assignment.  After his last game he hired a taco truck to feed his teammates as an appreciation for their support.

He sounds like a great guy.  Wish him well.

Solid player, but had no real business being on the club in 2016 and definitely not in 2017.

Sounds like a good guy as well, I wish him the best of luck, but he doesn't need it, he will be in the league another 3-4 years at least, should have plenty of offers to be a starter for the next 2-3 at the very least as well.

Class act though for sure.

Not sure why people "feel bad" for wanting the Twins to non tender him though. He certainly is going to land on his feet. I feel a lot worse for the young guys pre arb who get a career ending injury or something.
