Park may end up a four eventually but like Sano in the three spot neither are ready for it. Once they get more plate appearances and experience, I could see Park and Sano as the fixtures in the 3 and 4 spots for quite a long time. Trading Plouffe away for some starting pitching or a much better catcher would help shake things up and make the line up overall better.

Long before I had vertigo issues, I loved roller coasters. In fact, it could've been roller coasters that caused my middle-aged vertigo. And I SCREEEEEEEEEEAMED on them ... not because I was scared or compelled to or couldn't help myself ... but because it made the ride that much more fun. To just let it out and ride with the wind! And I would especially wind up for the most death-curdling scream I could whenever it zipped close by and standers-by watching the fun. The hope was it would freak them out so much they wouldn't want to try it. My attempts at shortening the line. In my even younger days, instead of the loud screaming at the standers-by, my friends and I would make loud vomit noises. Yes, I did such a thing. We did that on a lot of rides that came near any spectators. People really jumped and scattered.

The screams, eh. The loud vomit noises? Oustanding!

Heh.....  life in HK.  In the old days, we'd pray for a snow day, here we get rain days.  Or rain daze, as it were.  The Govt Weather Bureau issues warnings for typhoons, and heavy rain, in which case they close schools and offices.  It was so dark this morning on the way to work, I wondered, but nothing-- then, as I arrive at the school gate-  RED RAIN WARNING!!!  

 

OK, says me, I can chill and follow the base-ball match.  

 

Nope.  Must go to class and supervise any students who made it in early, because they can't leave until the alert is cancelled.  So Berrios' 2-hit, 14 K complete game gem, (which he loses in a hearbreaker 1-0,) I can't watch until the rain goes away.   Boo hoo.

I think the Dozier 3 Plouffe 4 is a directive from TR to make sure they are in a position to get the token RBI groundouts to build their trade value

I have seldom watched NASCAR, but watching the Twins this year reminds me of watching a race. You tell everyone that you are watching it for the sport, and you probably really believe that. The fact it's likely your car will lose is lost on you because in reality, you are watching it for the wrecks, that's where the true excitement is. Same for the Twins. You know your team is going to lose, but the smoldering wreckage of that loss, is irresistable!

 

The Twins are the only ones racing a Prius at Daytona.

I'm thinking baseball might be more interesting if the team at the bottom of the division by 10+ games is granted a waiver on PED testing.  I mean why waste the money?  If you are 10+ games out and you're already doing PEDS, you really, really suck and you should get a waiver on testing anyway.  On the other hand, if your 10+ games out and you just suck, maybe some PEDS will kick start the season and make it more interesting.

 

I know, with insightful thinking like that, you're probably thinking I should be the commish and I couldn't agree more. 

This might not be a bad idea at all.  Very clever gocgo.  If we went that far maybe we could go a little further.  Batters allowed to plug bat with cork, etc.  Pitchers can bring emery files and vaseline to the mound.  The games would take on a whole new dimension (especially for the fans of the teams at the bottom of the division).  Love it!
