  1. After the 2020 season is the perfect time to extend. The two sides will be much closer to each other.
  2. Now that 2020 is what it is: 2021: 16 million 2022: 17 million 2023: 18 million (FA 1) 2024: 19 miilion (FA 2) 2025: 15 million (option) (5 million buyout) 5 years/75 (with buyout) 5 years/85 (with option) Add yearly $1 million incentives for 4.0 K/BB ratio
  3. I like the deal quite a bit, actually. Graterol is likely not going to be a starter capable of 180+ innings until 2022.
  4. Absolutely a lock, and all of the reasons mentioned are good ones. And his defensive value should not be understated. April was terrible in 2019, and has been a problem throughout his career. Of course he should also be trade bait at some point, barring injury to regulars.
  5. He is not going to take any of these lower deals. No way. I would go for this, right now: 2020 = 7 2021 = 16 2022 = 16 2023 = 16 2024 = 14 (option), 5 (buyout) 5 years/60 guaranteed
  6. Give him a full year starting in A, and look to 2021 for him to maybe move from A+ to AA. 2023 would be potential ETA.
  7. I would like it to be: vs. RH: Polanco Donaldson Cruz Kepler Sano Rosario Arraez Garver Buxton vs. LH: Garver Donaldson Cruz Sano Kepler Buxton Arraez Rosario Polanco (How performances unfold could obviously change this, esp. with regard to Garver, Arraez, Buxton, and Polanco)
  8. If Buxton were to go down with a significant injury, I would look at this. Otherwise no.
  9. Against lefties (given Polanco's struggles as a RH bat): Garver Donaldson Cruz Sano Rosario Kepler Buxton Arraez Polanco vs. righties: Polanco Arraez Donaldson Cruz Rosario Sano Kepler Garver Buxton
  10. I so want Liam Hendriks to come back. Anyway, it is indeed very tricky.
  11. That Sano .833 OPS, man. Ruining the team . . .
  12. I literally asked this same question maybe four years ago (the team was the Marlins): if we are to trade with Cleveland, why not trade for Nick Wittgren? I can't imagine trading with Cleveland until the gap is insurmountable, but wouldn't it be something if the guy I clamored for in the 2012 draft became a Twin finally? He is having his best year with 30 K and 4 BB in 27.1 IP, with a 2.37 FIP. He has actually gotten better all four years in the majors.
  13. I would rather that he rest his back for a couple weeks and then go start pitching in AAA.
  14. Guys who shouldn't be on the 40-man next year: Parker, Pineda, Magill, Castro (some room for argument here), Adrianza (like him a lot, but I think Arraez is the way to go going forward), Torreyes, and Cave. Gordon is tradeable, too. That would remove 8. Duran isn't going to be selected. I am willing to risk Jax and Wiel. That would make everyone else safe, as is. Of course I would hope that one or two relievers are added before the deadline, so there will just be one or two two decisions (and who knows about the Cruz situation anyway).
  15. No. That article was great. I was referring to the general hostility toward millenials out there broadly.
  16. 1. Falvey and Levine have to be commended for making this organization into a powerhouse. 2. Rocco Baldelli is a damn good manager. Any anti-millenial talk should be erased from history. 3. Miguel Sano is not a fading superstar. Good. Lord. Even a question mark at the end of that headline wasn't going to save that article. 4. The Twins absolutely need bullpen help. 5. Moving Pineda there might work. 6. I like Smeltzer, but I don't know about him as a long-term fifth starter. Maybe the rest of the season though? 7. What is with all the hits against Lewis Thorpe? I haven't dug deep in this site lately. Any insight? 8. I see the Twins prospect pool as nicely deep for any trades for pitching. 9. Jake Cave gonna be a part of any trade. He is still a valuable asset. 10. Nick Gordon absolutely should be traded. No offense to him. He will be a decent-solid player in MLB. 11. It is FINALLY that time when all of these prospects are together and are living up to the hype. Rosario, Polanco, Kepler, Sano, Buxton, Berrios, etc. These guys that I have followed since they came into the organization . . . 12. This site is still undoubtedly near or at the top in all of sports (seriously . . . try to find other ones for other teams that are quite like this one).
  17. LOL. No he isn't. End of story. Prolly stop talking about this. Yes, I'M BAAAAAAACK!.
  18. Sorry, Dems. Your best bet is, again, Bernie Sanders. I don't like his age. But he is a clear winner who is also a good person. Warren is next, though I fear her campaigning skills. Joe I LOVE WAR AND CORPORATIONS Biden is a non-starter for me. Actually worse than Clinton was.
  19. Molitor and basically the entire coaching staff have to go. There is no alternative. Next year has to be the time of promoting 5-7 guys at the beginning of the season. Kepler has to figure it out. Buxton too. Sano too. My god.
  20. Trade him. That is the only option. I laugh at any notion of keeping him in 2019. Anyone can get hot for a few weeks.
  21. Sorry, but he never should have been demoted. The whole thing with him is stupid.
