David HK Verified Member Posted May 4, 2016 Posted May 4, 2016 Hey, somehow I've gone past 1K posts. I'm a Red Wing now? How'd that happen? There weren't fireworks, or anything, and I didn't get a cake. Ah, heck, I'd settle fer a win.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted May 4, 2016 Posted May 4, 2016 Review is starting to become ridiculous
TwinsCD Verified Member Posted May 4, 2016 Posted May 4, 2016 Bremer -- How in the world does the ball get out of the ballpark? Me -- Because it hit the fan's hand, Dick. Can see it on the replay where Meyer's head gets in the way.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted May 4, 2016 Posted May 4, 2016 It's too bad the Astros play in such a gimmicky park.
tharasix Provisional Member Posted May 4, 2016 Posted May 4, 2016 Turns out that Mauer RBI was important.
HitInAPinch Verified Member Posted May 4, 2016 Posted May 4, 2016 damnit, stop calling for breaking balls

Whammy Verified Member Posted May 4, 2016 Posted May 4, 2016 Sure looked like Altuve offered at that 2-2 pitch
AlwaysinModeration Verified Member Posted May 4, 2016 Posted May 4, 2016 Jerry Layne, the umpire from last night, called that on the field. Apparently doesn't like to be proven wrong. Does this mean if a fan reaches over to catch a ball it is a home run? Suddenly the first row of the OF seats are more important.
wavedog Verified Member Posted May 4, 2016 Posted May 4, 2016 Don't understand why that was a home run either. Fan whiffed on it and it hit below the line.
ScrapTheNickname Provisional Member Posted May 4, 2016 Posted May 4, 2016 I want Meyers to mow em down so I can post this:
Danchat Old-Timey Member Posted May 4, 2016 Posted May 4, 2016 It's too bad the Astros play in such a gimmicky park. This sentence feels like it should be about a ballpark in a video game, not in real life.

LaBombo Verified Member Posted May 4, 2016 Posted May 4, 2016 Turns out Ted Williams was pretty good at baseball. Yeah. It was a lot easier to like him after I found out that he was much better at baseball than at making outboard motors that would start before your arm was ready to fall out of the socket from pulling the rope over and over. Luckily we had the motor when I was in little league so my dad had me on a strict pull count.
ScrapTheNickname Provisional Member Posted May 4, 2016 Posted May 4, 2016 But... You already did...Clearly it was a good decision. Meyers has such great stuff, but his mechanics seems deplorable.
nicksaviking Community Moderator Posted May 4, 2016 Posted May 4, 2016 Plouffe didn't seem inclined to lay out for that one.
Jham Verified Member Posted May 4, 2016 Posted May 4, 2016 Meyer better stick. I just followed him on Twitter... Stuff looks good, seems more composed. Still lacks good command in and out of the zone. 94-95 is pretty Pelfrey-ish... He's going to need to learn to hit spots.
LaBombo Verified Member Posted May 4, 2016 Posted May 4, 2016 This is one of those innings that builds character. For Meyer too, I mean, not just us.
AlwaysinModeration Verified Member Posted May 4, 2016 Posted May 4, 2016 Could have been a triple play.

Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted May 4, 2016 Posted May 4, 2016 Amazing. Can't stand guys who fold under pressure
Whammy Verified Member Posted May 4, 2016 Posted May 4, 2016 No favors done for Meyer this inning. Ballpark, replay, ump, plouffe.
