Hey, somehow I've gone past 1K posts.  I'm a Red Wing now?  How'd that happen?    There weren't fireworks, or anything, and I didn't get a cake.  Ah, heck, I'd settle fer a win.

Jerry Layne, the umpire from last night, called that on the field. Apparently doesn't like to be proven wrong.

 

Does this mean if a fan reaches over to catch a ball it is a home run? Suddenly the first row of the OF seats are more important.

It's too bad the Astros play in such a gimmicky park.

This sentence feels like it should be about a ballpark in a video game, not in real life.

Turns out Ted Williams was pretty good at baseball.

 

Yeah.    It was a lot easier to like him after I found out that he was much better at baseball than at making outboard motors that would start before your arm was ready to fall out of the socket from pulling the rope over and over.

 

Luckily we had the motor when I was in little league so my dad had me on a strict pull count.

Meyer better stick.  I just followed him on Twitter...  Stuff looks good, seems more composed.  Still lacks good command in and out of the zone.  94-95 is pretty Pelfrey-ish...  He's going to need to learn to hit spots.

"Spot" is very optimistic. More like zones.
