David HK Verified Member Posted May 4, 2016 Posted May 4, 2016 ... and Plouffe- who didn't exactly light it up in low-A rehab, is hitting behind Sano, with Park, who's been mashing lately, in the 6 hole. OK, Molly, whatever you say.
HitInAPinch Verified Member Posted May 4, 2016 Posted May 4, 2016 Twins are in McHugh's head already. Likee....
Tibs Verified Member Posted May 4, 2016 Posted May 4, 2016 The ESPN gamecast picture of Alex Meyer looks nothing like him. There's no way it is a picture of him
TwinsCD Verified Member Posted May 4, 2016 Posted May 4, 2016 Highly appropriate that Plouffe's first AB after his DL stint results in a DP. Some things never change.
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted May 4, 2016 Posted May 4, 2016 Mr. Knob Well done! They call me "Mr. Knob!"
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted May 4, 2016 Posted May 4, 2016 Plouffe-da. It's alright. Gooneys make mistakes... Just don't make any more.
jimbo92107 Verified Member Posted May 4, 2016 Posted May 4, 2016 Anybody else notice how quickly Dozier sheered off when he heard Sano yell, "I got it." ?
D. Hocking Verified Member Posted May 4, 2016 Posted May 4, 2016 Twins are in McHugh's head already. Likee.... I would like to think most pitchers fear us and do not sleep well the night before they have to face us.
Hrbowski Verified Member Posted May 4, 2016 Posted May 4, 2016 BREAKING: Hrbowski just saw his first ever Orange-crowned Warbler!
HitInAPinch Verified Member Posted May 4, 2016 Posted May 4, 2016 Atta boy Alex... Calm those nervesHe's lookin' kinda scary good
jimbo92107 Verified Member Posted May 4, 2016 Posted May 4, 2016 Alex Meyer Scouting grades: Fastball: 70 | Slider: 60 | Changeup: 50 | Control: 40 | Overall: 45. He's supposed to have a plus slider. Where is it? I saw a "get me over" slider and a slow curve right over the heart of the plate. Where's the plus in that?? Good heat, tho...

David HK Verified Member Posted May 4, 2016 Posted May 4, 2016 I don't wanna get off on a rant here, but-- I know Molly and crew have a lot more intimate knowledge of how workouts and injuries and such are going, but why, oh why, does he just persist in making the kind of lineup and game decisions that boggle the mind on an unending basis? Just the simplest, most basic things that casual sidewalk knowledge would dictate, is thrown out the window for some kind of mystifying, Game of Thrones skulduggery... An occasional head-scratcher can be explained away, but just since he took over, I've gone from a lush head of thick curls to looking like Dr. Evil. There. I'm done now. Good going, in the 1st, Mr. Meyer
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted May 4, 2016 Posted May 4, 2016 not sure, but I think it was that breaking ball he just threw. I was gonna answer: In the catcher's glove...

gil4 Verified Member Posted May 4, 2016 Posted May 4, 2016 Isn't there an unwritten rule about putting your high OBP guys at the top of the order? If somebody would just write them all down it would be a lot easier! Stat geek! </sarc>
HitInAPinch Verified Member Posted May 4, 2016 Posted May 4, 2016 Hush...Meyer's pitching...oops, farted..
Whammy Verified Member Posted May 4, 2016 Posted May 4, 2016 This ump's zone is trash. Berrios would've struck out 12 with this guy's zone. Good for Alex hopefully
David HK Verified Member Posted May 4, 2016 Posted May 4, 2016 I see young Mr. Meyer has already halved his ERA- from 18.00 to 9.00. Keep it up!
LaBombo Verified Member Posted May 4, 2016 Posted May 4, 2016 whew, good thing there's only 8 innings left..... On behalf of everyone who already knows they're going to be too tired to stay awake for the extra innings hex you just put on the game... http://www.charactour.com/images/profile/no-country-for-old-men-tommy-lee-jones.jpg
tharasix Provisional Member Posted May 4, 2016 Posted May 4, 2016 And now 3 Ks! I'm liking how Meyer is pitching!
Dozier's Glorious Hair Verified Member Posted May 4, 2016 Posted May 4, 2016 And Carlos is very excited about his hit...
