Game Thread: Twins at Astros, 5/3/16 @ 7:10 PM CT

A balk and a wild pitch? I'm so glad Milone is in there for Meyer.

[LaBombo]

Any one else think Santana could have caught the Gomez hit?

I'm gonna just chalk it up to him being a little disoriented by the funhouse outfield of Minutemaid.     No idea whether it's true,  but it's easier to ignore than the alternative...

[Aggies7]

Can we maybe stop throwing wild pitches? Good lord.

[Hosken Bombo Disco]

The discipline and hitting approach of the Houston lineup makes the Twins look like a well trained Marine platoon.

EDIT: oops! maybe should have waited another pitch before posting this

Boohoo, a guy said the manager annoys him on a message board. Time to toughen up

Right? The only thing not classy was Molitor pulling Meyer. I'm still wondering why though? Were all banging our heads for Meyer to make and Molitor pulls him in that situation.

Now Milone get's just roasted LMFAO

[AlwaysinModeration]

Backing up for a second, I loved the Berrios interview. Love that he said the coaches told him he needed 2,099 more wins to make the Hall of Fame.

[David HK]

Well, I'm blaming this whole mess on Molitor today.  I've just had it with the guy.

[DiscGolfer]

Holy $h!* that was a long ball

[Aggies7]

Well, Meyer could have done this. What a team.

[tharasix]

He didn't have to act like an immature thirteen year old.

What if he is an immature thirteen year old?

[Riverbrian]

Meyer looking solid. Knock on wood!!

[ShouldaCouldaWoulda]

Is it bad that I was cheering for the Springer bomb and for Milone to fail...only in the hopes that it maybe give Meyer another chance and puts more pressure on Molly for the quick hook.

[wavedog]

Wow! Over the roof!

[LaBombo]

Good thing they got Meyer out of there to keep the game within reach.

Tommy Milone, ladies and gentleman,   your 2016 Twins bullpen's bridge to the late innings.

[tharasix]

Yeah, after that home run, I'm out.

[DiscGolfer]

So Milone, 3 R in 1 inning, 0 K and a long HR, pull him?

[Danchat]

Milone just pitched a 3 run inning... so he should be pulled, right?

Ugh. I feel like this game is dragging on... it's only the end of the 4th inning....

[Aggies7]

This one had promise. At one point.

[DiscGolfer]

No, they'll just say he can't pitch out of the bullpen, can't warm up quick enough or some lame reason like that, and put him back in the rotation.

Nice screen name and picture. I'm a big disc golfer.

Molitor probably told Meyer that he's about to get 2099 frequent flier miles to Rochester

[Hosken Bombo Disco]

The intent of the long man, mop up guy is to save the bullpen. So I'd assume we see Milone a couple more innings.

[DiscGolfer]

Well, maybe the bats can come around a bit.  Or will HcHugh just go into shutdown mode.

[Don Walcott]

Milone is not an asset as a starter or a reliever. Time to pull the plug.

[Riverbrian]

I would have pulled him if it got worse, but he almost dug himself out. Don't get that decision. Won't do much for his confidence.

C'mon... He wanted to bring in the left hander to face the right hander.

[nytwinsfan]

Hahaha, Molitor you moron. Serves you right.

[sampleSizeOfOne]

Less than half way through the game.

There's still time.

[Hosken Bombo Disco]

I just can't believe how Houston is a team of such wild swingers. I wouldn't be surprised at all if the Twins finish ahead of them in the standings.

[Aggies7]

Scrubs night. The jokes write themselves.

It looked like this:

That Beak would dent my forehead.
