Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted April 28, 2016 Posted April 28, 2016 Alright He's got some stuff... but his nerves got the best of him. His command was quite a bit off. I was watching his mechanics and he wasn't repeating very well. He can fix that. Let's see how his next start goes.
Danchat Old-Timey Member Posted April 28, 2016 Posted April 28, 2016 I would like to see Meyer in this game, but Molitor isn't going to trust him in a close game...
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted April 28, 2016 Posted April 28, 2016 Oof, Abad in the 5th? What a clown car our bullpen is.
Brock Beauchamp Site Manager Posted April 28, 2016 Posted April 28, 2016 Are we going to get to see Meyer and Berrios in the SAME GAME?
Danchat Old-Timey Member Posted April 28, 2016 Posted April 28, 2016 Oof, Abad in the 5th? What a clown car our bullpen is.It makes sense to me. He's pitching well, so you send him out to try and preserve the tie game with 2 guys in scoring position. In play, run(s). Dang it.

Brock Beauchamp Site Manager Posted April 28, 2016 Posted April 28, 2016 I would like to see Meyer in this game, but Molitor isn't going to trust him in a close game...I suspect it has more to do with not wanting to let Meyer get his feet wet in a close game with runners on base. If he comes in, it'll be a clean inning.
LaBombo Verified Member Posted April 28, 2016 Posted April 28, 2016 Oop, did I see a bullpen call??? Yep. Abad is the lucky duck. http://c3131372.r72.cf0.rackcdn.com/FULL.20100715134917159.jpg

Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted April 28, 2016 Posted April 28, 2016 How many fouls is that tonight? 67?

He last pitched last Wednesday
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted April 28, 2016 Posted April 28, 2016 Good lord. Looking like an early night for me and after such a promising start too.
jimbo92107 Verified Member Posted April 28, 2016 Posted April 28, 2016 Berrios looked like he burned enough energy for two starts. He was nervous as a cat the whole time. I'm surprised he lasted into the 5th. You could see why the team is excited about this kid. Great stuff. Good mix of heaters. a tight, low curve, and a change that bends half a foot to the right, just the right amount. Within two or three starts, we're going to see a very good pitcher.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted April 28, 2016 Posted April 28, 2016 Just in case anybody was missing Sano in the OF Rosario lends a hand
David HK Verified Member Posted April 28, 2016 Posted April 28, 2016 Classic, or.... http://i3.kym-cdn.com/entries/icons/original/000/006/026/futuramafry.jpg Ripple?Dill pickle.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted April 28, 2016 Posted April 28, 2016 Well, good thing our best reliever was used to face two batters and our left fielder couldn't catch a can of corn. Questionable bullpen management.
LaBombo Verified Member Posted April 28, 2016 Posted April 28, 2016 I think we should. I mean, what the h is the point of having Meyer on the team? If a game of pickup hoops breaks out during a rain delay, how many bullpens can field a 6' 9'' center?
jimmer Verified Member Posted April 28, 2016 Posted April 28, 2016 Rosario looked like Jacque Jones out there in Jacque's early years in the Metrodome LF
jimbo92107 Verified Member Posted April 28, 2016 Posted April 28, 2016 Whoops, now the wheels have fallen off, and motley troop of clowns is piling out of the car to fix it...
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted April 28, 2016 Posted April 28, 2016 Just in case anybody was missing Sano in the OF Rosario lends a handWhat's weird is that something like that is so rare to see, but that's like the 6th total boner we've seen in the outfield in a week.
Brock Beauchamp Site Manager Posted April 28, 2016 Posted April 28, 2016 I think the original poster had it right. Meyer has been with the team two games, immediately after a 16 inning game and we haven't found a spot for him. He last pitched last WednesdayIt was weird that he didn't pitch two nights ago but Nolasco went 7 1/3 last night. Not a lot of time to get Meyer into that game. And putting Meyer into tonight's situation in the fifth would have been bad management. You don't do that to a guy in his first appearance.
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted April 28, 2016 Posted April 28, 2016 I think I could steal a base off this team.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted April 28, 2016 Posted April 28, 2016 Just go on ahead and take 3rd base. Tonkin no Bueno.
DiscGolfer Verified Member Posted April 28, 2016 Posted April 28, 2016 I would like to see Meyer in this game, but Molitor isn't going to trust him in a close game...Nearly every game the Twins have played has been close, so I guess we'll never see Meyer

He had a ton and a half of emotion, and he'll learn to get that more under control. He'll also eventually start getting those borderline calls. I think the kid will be alright. More than alright.
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted April 28, 2016 Posted April 28, 2016 This team sucks. It shouldn't suck like this, but it does. I'm turning this game off. Good night.
