Off to class for a while, came back to see that pathetic attempt at base-balling.  W.  T.  F.   How in the bloody h can you mess up a play like that so badly?  How can you get to the major leagues and not be able to get a bloody bunt down, if you are a guy like Santana.  There is just no excuse.  My 50-something year old butt could get a dang bunt down.

There's no excuse to try and bunt at that time anyway.  Give some grief to Molitor for calling for it in the first place.

And putting down a good bunt at that level is a lot harder than people think.

Absolutely... You'd hang with Chief and hide under a seat until everybody goes home and they lock the doors.

Uff Da

I Almost forgot

Park with a homer now every 11.4 AB's.

Mauer's OBP up to .464. :-) Has gotten on base at least once in every game he's played.

I think it's funny that dugouts have actual... you know... phones attached to the wall.

They could just send a text if they wanted.

Rosario would have taken 3B on that if his head was in the game.

I really find it odd how seldom baserunners in MLB do the 3-hops towards the next base that we teach in little league ball. The only guy I saw do that on the Twins was Aaron Hicks. If a pitch dribbles away just a little bit, you've got a good jump towards the next base. These MLB teams are so conservative. The game is supposed to be more fun than guys standing around on base.

guaranteed every player on the Royals takes 3rd on that.

And I believe Mauer would have too. He does it a lot. Smart baserunner.

Sometimes it's just nice to hear a voice.

Well, Park doesn't exactly know what to do yet with guys all over those bases like that.  He was probably distracted trying to add up the possible RBI.  And McAllister did a good job of pitching on him, dang it.

Man that Scott Erickson no hitter was almost blundered away by the lf and ss. Thankfully that didn't happen today or Rosario would have bicycle kicked it over the wall.

Even the funny way he runs, he would do it.

Park has now hit a home run every 11.6 AB's

Sigh

Dusty Baker pro tip:    Cutting down on the walks will cause more plate appearances to result in AB's!
