Yep... So you had to choose when you went Yard. 

 

Nobody on base... You would just poke at it. 

I never had to worry about that. I had one out of the park HR in my life.  I was a singles/doubles guy. Did carry an OBP over .500 for my high school baseball career, though (even higher in softball leagues).

Nice stolen base, but does anyone know why Nunez refuses to wear a proper fitting helmet?

I keep thinking just a little strip of Velcro would work wonders.

After being called up two days ago, he just got off the original plane built by the Wright Brothers this afternoon, he can't come in today :-)

I remember playing in a tourney with no home run rule. 

 

We were a bunch of rabbits and we thought we could beat anybody. The first team we faced started the game with 12 home runs in a row. 

 

These were... don't even bother turning around type shots... they all cleared the fence by at least 50 feet and usually a 100 feet or more and they ended up hitting 21 in the inning. 

 

The 2nd inning was also pretty bad.

after being brought up to help the pen, he may start this weekend.  One may wonder why he was brought up so early if that's the case, but someone must know that.

When Nunez is asked about the helmet, he just laughs. It’s a problem he had during his four seasons with the New York Yankees, and it’s followed him to Minnesota. It wasn’t an issue in the minor leagues, he said, perhaps due to what he said were heavier helmets.

Nice double play. Does Nunez look like he's finally stabilized as a player? I'm not seeing the mental lapses of previous seasons.

Actually they gave him an old VW bus to drive in from Rochester, reports are he'll be here by Sunday

Off to class for a while, came back to see that pathetic attempt at base-balling.  W.  T.  F.   How in the bloody h can you mess up a play like that so badly?  How can you get to the major leagues and not be able to get a bloody bunt down, if you are a guy like Santana.  There is just no excuse.  My 50-something year old butt could get a dang bunt down.
