Jose Berrios - Berrios is making his Major League debut tonight! I have been rooting for him ever since he got drafted, and that was a pretty emotional night for him:

Berrios was a shortstop until his senior year of high school, when he broke out as a the top pitcher in Puerto Rico. Trevor Rosenthal and Jacob DeGrom are two all-star pitchers who were shortstops in high school.

Walk-off winners - The Twins have picked up a win in the bottom of the ninth the last two games, and Jepsen has been the pitcher who has benefited with the wins, which he did not deserve.

Extrapolation - In mathematics, extrapolation is the process of estimating, beyond the original observation range, the value of a variable on the basis of its relationship with another variable. If the Twins keep up at they are going they will end the season with 108 losses, but don't worry, that is too large of an estimate compared to the amount of data we have. Do not be surprised to see a stretch of games where we go 30-20, before playing at .500 ball the rest of the year. I am predicting a season record of 82-80.

State Functions - The value of a state function is independent of the history of the system. That is what death and winning the World Series have in common, so if someone ever asks you what they have in common, use this as a comeback.

Sinking Ships - Last night we learned that a certain moderator survived multiple sinking ships, and also was on some ships that did not sink. Question: Did he survive the SS Edmund Fitzgerald? Will he survive the season? Will he survive this website?

From homers and injuries
To hard throwing righties
And things that go thump in the ninth
Good Lord, deliver us

After the Twins started 0-9, they just need 9 straight 9 game stretches where they go 5-4 to get to .500.  They have already completed the first set, and are at 2-1 for the second set.  We're on the way.

So, by the ASB give or take.......

4. Miguel Sano ® 3B

4 walks? I hope he's not that nervous.

7 IP 1 ER 8 Ks.

He had 4 walks in his first AAA game this year and 3 in his second. Weather isn't going to be great either.

Sano is really at 3rd or is this just a guess?

I predict he will walk out onto the field and wonder "where the hell is everybody?"

I predict he will walk out onto the field and say "did we win yet?"

I think any team with Danny Santana and Eduardo Nunez alternating as their leadoff hitter doesn't have as much offensive talent as they think they do.

This assumes we don't have another 9 game losing streak in there somewhere.

Sano is really at third.

Except when he's at the plate, of which he'll be the 4th. Twin that is.

But even then we hope he will be at third soon enough, before returning to the plate.

Simple, eh?

I predict:

4 IP 1 ER 3 H 2 BB 4 K.

I'm a pessimist about the weather, speaking of which this cloud's silver lining in my prediction is that we then see:

Alex Meyer 4 IP 1 ER 2 H 3 BB 6 K and he picks up the W.

Sano is really at third.

I'm guessing management has realized that having both Arcia and Sano in the outfield at the same time is a bad idea.

I'm hoping it's the beginning of some real change.

Doubtful, I think it is more of wanting Santana and Rosario in the lineup.  This is the 3rd game with Sano at 3rd (2nd straight since Santana has been activated).

It will be interesting to see what they do when Plouffe comes back on Tuesday.
