D. Hocking Verified Member Posted April 9, 2015 Posted April 9, 2015 OK -- after reaching bottom -- we are now on the way up. Good things from here on out -- although I now am making my predictions for the season a little less lofty. We are not going to win the division, but get the first wild card spot - and we will not sweep the World Series, but need six games to win it.
Mike Sixel Old-Timey Member Posted April 9, 2015 Posted April 9, 2015 Dang, now t scoring would have been a story. More it is just another in a loooooooooong line of losses. Gotta love autocorrect and Swype.
jorgenswest Verified Member Posted April 9, 2015 Posted April 9, 2015 Pythag improves to 0.34 - 161.66 but they still got that underperforming projection and bullpen problem
Blake Verified Member Posted April 9, 2015 Posted April 9, 2015 I love bullpen desperation. Bring in the guy who cannot get righties out because you got nothin' else.
Danchat Verified Member Posted April 9, 2015 Posted April 9, 2015 What has happened to Danny Santana? It's a bit early to be concerned, but he hasn't gotten a single hit yet. I knew he was going to regress, but not this much...
Hrbowski Verified Member Posted April 9, 2015 Posted April 9, 2015 That will pass the eye test, nice play by Hunter.
Hrbowski Verified Member Posted April 9, 2015 Posted April 9, 2015 Perkins does a good job, at least.
D. Hocking Verified Member Posted April 9, 2015 Posted April 9, 2015 Perkins does a good job, at least. I have not checked the box score for a few innings, is this now a save situation?
Minniman Verified Member Posted April 9, 2015 Posted April 9, 2015 The results are pretty much what I expected from this group. Well, not 11-0, but many 5-2 games. The Twins have weak bats, suspect fielding, and poor pitching. This is what we have to put up with the Twins until the youngsters are ready. I just wish the Twins had not signed some of the players they did to contracts that they will be stuck with for years. I thought the 1970s and early 1980s where bad, but this go around is so bad, I do not even care to watch the team play. So much for the new stadium making the Twins contenders.
Minniman Verified Member Posted April 9, 2015 Posted April 9, 2015 Finally a run. Not an earned run. Does that count for the over/under?
SydneyTwinsFan Verified Member Posted April 9, 2015 Posted April 9, 2015 Mauer has a 3-game hitting streak!!
Circus Boy Verified Member Posted April 9, 2015 Posted April 9, 2015 A run. "Now iz zee time at Sprockets ven vee danz!"

twinsfaninsaudi Verified Member Posted April 9, 2015 Posted April 9, 2015 Is it wrong that on plays/at bats I'm just hoping that someone gets hurt and seeing that as the best possible scenario? With the exception of maybe 3 players.
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted April 9, 2015 Author Posted April 9, 2015 A run. "Now iz zee time at Sprockets ven vee danz!" Thanks! I'd actually fallen asleep there, and missed the run. But an 80s SNL reference is always appreciated. And now as some things are connected to others, i've got the theme song for "Tunces the Driving Cat"in my head. Having been desensitized by the last two games, my only current disappointment is the prediction that the game would end when the Wild game began is not quite right. What am i to do with myself for the next 15 minutes?
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted April 9, 2015 Posted April 9, 2015 Catching up on game tbread on my phone...just wanted to say, there were multiple posts that actually caused me to laugh out loud. Much appreciated! Honorable mention to the pythag projection post, the SNL dance post, but I gotta go with jimmer's "took me till I was 16 to get to third base" as the thread winner.

"So now i'm praying for the end of timeto hurry up and arrive..." is what music that 3rd base post evoked...
Craig Arko Old-Timey Member Posted April 10, 2015 Posted April 10, 2015 It seems we must wait a bit longer before proclaiming dynasty.
shs_59 Provisional Member Posted April 10, 2015 Posted April 10, 2015 WTF Molitor already shows he's sooo "great" at lineups already..... why not go with Escy over Arcia in game 1 against David Price???!?!?!? now in game 3 against shane greene you go with escy over Arcia ?!? , makes a TON- OF SENSE! opening day lineups are overrated who the f cares. Get it right Paul!

This is what we have to put up with the Twins until the youngsters are ready.Assuming that doesn't continue even when the youngsters are ready. Failure rate of prospects is pretty high and I won't assume a change in one of those categories, much less all three, until these youngsters prove they can do it at the major league level.
Jham Verified Member Posted April 10, 2015 Posted April 10, 2015 Correct me if I'm wrong, but i think we actually outscored them over the last 2.5 innings. Tigers are lucky the series ended when it did.
COtwin Provisional Member Posted April 10, 2015 Posted April 10, 2015 Anyone know why Duffey is pitching for Chattanooga? I thought Berrios was supposed to start.
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted April 10, 2015 Posted April 10, 2015 And soon they will execute it, and then they will execute us!I'm reminded of former Tampa Bay Bucs coach John McKay's answer to the post game question "what do you think of your team's execution?" "I'm in favor of it."
