USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Love this headline at MLBTradeRumors: "Detmer not acquired by Cubs." The O's have had a great deadline. This is a year to be a seller. I'm not that high on Reyes. I know its small sample size but he really struggled in A ball. Other than his size and decent hit tool in international league I don't see a major concern. Permanent Twins Fan 1

MGX Verified Member Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago A lot of players moving that could have helped the Twins & many at bargain prices & here we are with the most impactful player acquired being AJ Minter. At least there is still time to change that.

Esp. when they weren't contenders.

Jackson was kept on to be a backup in case Jeffers was traded. IF he doesn't get traded, there is really no reason to keep him on. That could be Jenkins way on if Larnach isn't traded. He could be the back-up catcher next year, but I don't think it's worth having a short-handed bench for another month when you can easily acquire someone similar in the off-season. Road trip Verified Member Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago 3 minutes ago, howeda7 said: If they're not trading Jeffers or Caratini, shouldn't they trade Alex Jackson at least? This. I can't imagine going the duration of the season carrying 3 catchers on the active roster. And they still have too many corner OF/DH types between MLB and AAA. Trade from surplus, even if it just brings back some other team's surplus. Cory Engelhardt 1

Kremer has already pitched 700 innings in the majors, he's not a young arm like Bradley. I don't see much in common other than both were at their lowest point in their careers when traded.
