The Twins gave an org my kiddo participates in free tix for Friday night's game.  They're in 301, which is kind of the least the team could do to give away tix.

Seat surfing!  As a good Christian Midwestern boy, I've never done it, so I need some advice.  How aggressive should we be?  Lower deck?  Will they ask you to leave the stadium if you are found in the wrong seats or just leave the seats?

Thanks in advance!

Oh btw, that exclamation point is a bit aggressive C.

#8, Thou shalt not steal (grins).

Mild form of surfing. Section 319/320. No probability of getting snipped at; no ushers. Sections I sit in with Vets tickets. Commanding view of home plate/batter. Love the seat.

Aggressive form. Surf to Pohlad's Suite. Very low probability of being occupied, judging by the product on the field.

Interesting, gosh I hardly recognize our bullpen anymore, new faces in and out. 😉

I posted about ten days ago that I thought a death spiral was near. I'm seeing the same thing now. The starting pitching is struggling and no other component of the Twins team is major league average. The sorting-out process for the bullpen is happening. Right now, I wonder how much longer the Twins will keep Taylor Rogers. He fools 'em once in a while, but he doesn't have major league stuff anymore. It seems to me that Banda will outlast him and stay a Twin at least until the trade deadline.

There also is at least one too many utility players that can play shortstop. It would appear to me that from the standpoint of the major league team, the time is right to promote Kaelen Culpepper. Tristan Gray isn't really a shortstop, Ryan Kreidler has never hit as a major leaguer and Orlando Arcia is a thirty something guy who not longer profiles as a shortstop. One should go to make room for Culpepper.

I fully expect the offense to struggle again today and whoever ends up on the bump to start for the Twins will have to have a good start or bulk appearance.

You can rest easy knowing you are improving the camera shot for the owners by sitting in the lower bowl.

I think that up until this point I've been able to squint hard and see some reasons not to promote Culpepper, and I'm not saying he needs to be on the field tomorrow, but if he's not starting at SS for the Twins vs Cardinals on Friday night, then I'm going to be very miffed/confused.

No one's gonna bother you, but if they do, just act confused or like your ticket app isn't working.  Unless you're on the playing surface when you do it, you won't face any consequences

We might want to consider getting red uniforms, as our pitchers are as disposable as the security guys on Star Trek..

Death sprial began the day the "Bomba Squad" mentality took over.

I’m kinda of confused about the need for the Abel rehab assignment in this case.

The argument typically, after such a long time on the IL is that he won’t be able to go deep in the game. Let him ramp up in AAA. Makes sense.

Except, in this case, instead of Abel making his short start, we’re getting a bullpen game. Likely even shorter of a start than Abel would be able to give us.

I’m scratching my head on this one

I thought the death spiral was the beginning of the season but they performed better than I expected until 1 game out of 500 , now they are plummeting towards the cellar  ...

It seems weather will again be an impact, but not for a few hours. Perhaps an official game can be gotten by our Bullpen All Stars.

I have the stadium access tickets (no seats) and have been to a dozen games.  I have explored all around the stadium and am almost always sitting.  I usually check out 2-3 different spots during a game.  I have never been asked to show my ticket.  As noted by others, some sections have no ushers (mostly upper decks).  The lower sections generally do, but they typically allow you to walk right past.  Or you can wait for them to go to the bottom of a stairs in between innings and follow them down.  I believe the dugout sections and the club seats always verify tickets so I haven't gone to those sections.

Lower deck left field, down the first base line in 104/103/102, and directly behind home plate have all worked well.  I do make sure to sit in areas that are not populated (easy to do this year!) and generally I wait until after the first inning.

All that said I have seen people challenged for tickets.  Usually when a large young group of fans move into a premium section.  But really I think it is likely usher specific.  Most likely want nothing to do with challenging fans about tickets.  Maybe some do =)
