    It's an objective way to measure the decline in fan interest. But with ticket giveaways, etc., it's a moving target.

    I wonder what the attendance count would be if they hadn't given away tickets for these games. That wasn't an accident as a way to bump these numbers.

    There was a good discussion on Reddit about this. Apparently the players (when they were testing this) favored a challenge system over just letting the computer correct wrong calls immediately, which is what I'd think we as fans would like to see. That said, I agree this could be done in 5 seconds without the graphic and advertisement. The theory I read in that discussion is that MLB wants the sponsorship on that graphic.

    Some would say they work out too much. Lewis has been accused of working out for bulk vs. for health & fitness, too.

    Seems pretty obvious to me that considering Casper was their third option in 2025 they needed a new third option. When one catcher goes down, which is inevitable, you need two viable options. If they move Jeffers, they need two guys. When they lose Jeffers at the end of 2026 no matter what, they have two guys.

    At the deadline any remaining assets will be on the table. They're clearly looking to either hope for good luck or tread water until the deadline when they can remove the few remaining assets after 2025 and finally admit they are rebuilding.

    This is spot on. Communicating honestly would go a long way as well. Tom appears to be making an effort to do this, but he'll need to sustain that through an entire season to actually have credibility. Falvey needs to learn to communicate honestly too.

    What a world we're living in where the Pohlads have triangulated us against two of them and people are suddenly celebrating that a different Pohlad is running the train wreck. LOL

    In the modern era there's little reason to think this is an "on site" position. How nice to get paid by the Twins and lock in with the gold standard of clubs, while having what could be little to no travel. Kinda makes me wonder what orgs in general look like behind the scenes, and how much is work from home types.

    I've been thinking about what the hold up would be. I could see a scenario where you have the Pohlads saying "we'll take your 500 million so we can run debt free" with the new partners saying "we'll give you 500 million, but we need a commitment from you that 100 of the 500 will expand payroll over the next x years (to increase the value of our investment). The latter is better for the investor, the former is better for the Pohlads. FTP

    Considering someone is clearly testing the narrative of a full tear down, I'm getting closer to being disappointed if they don't do it. Blow this mess up and get value for these guys, and let them go play for real orgs.

    The complete silence on direction and specifics suggests they know the announcement won't go well. They're looking to bury the specifics, which probably includes a full strip down and tank.

    I definitely think this is where they're headed. Really I almost hope they do. It removes even the appearance of hope, which is where we should be as a fan base.

    With the passage of time and being worn down by these owners I think he's just going through the motions. The owners have built a culture of whatever it takes to get through a year at a time and he's stuck in the middle of that.

    The ebb and flow of fans based on success seems to be trending downward though. Yes, the lows are lower, but the highs are lower than they once were as well.
