  1. This comment in no way leads me to wonder how you land on these random photos. hahaha.
  2. Pretty sure this was the special uniform they wore in 2009. I like Cuddy.
  3. The kind that realizes some times you have to throw in the towel on a season to build for something better in future years.
  4. Interesting point. Are the Rays a competent organization? Consistently competitive, but unable to compete with the top tier anymore.
  5. I'd rather see a full blown dumpster fire and build from the ashes under new ownership.
  6. He's perfected the art of slowing down just enough to create a reliable dive to make the play look harder than it was.
  7. It's the best bullpen in baseball.
  8. Could be optimistic considering it's a Tuesday against a team with no travelling or loyal local fan base, unlike the Mets who turned out a decent crowd.
  9. Guess the attendance? This will be fun to see.
  10. Did the Twins series jumpstart the Braves? LOL
  11. Interesting thought when you have an entirely lame duck system due to ownership instability, what does anyone have to lose by running prospects up early? It may or may not be best for the prospect, but from the FO point of view, it is pretty low risk right now.
  12. I'm disappointed to see optimism messing up my thread. This is about embracing reasons to enjoy a terrible season that will not end and only get worse before it gets better.
  13. This isn't sarcasm, but treat it how you'd like. I am a long time STH. I always like the fair weather fan only cycles when there are no lines at the ballpark, and the texting teenagers aren't at the games. We might get a whole season of real fans only at the games. I also enjoy watching baseball closer to a level as my youth kids, as they actually have a chance to learn more about what not to do. Laughing about stuff like pitchers chucking balls over the first baseman's head is nearly as entertaining as losing 3-1. Knowing they are going to hit a hard bottom only makes the next wave of ownership and management that much more fun to look forward to. Seeing professional players get really frustrated brings a satisfaction to me. What other reasons can we find to enjoy the flaming pile of dog ****?
  14. Did anyone else find that exchange between Lopez and Mackey ending, and then Correa calling for the trainer a bit strange?
  15. I completely agree but I really wonder how much making any moves makes sense while you're trying to sell.
  16. That's a Lecroy body...
  17. MLB.TV has definitely changed some of their infrastructure across the board. The Twins broadcast access was pretty stable yesterday but I had several cases where my MLB TV subscription just didn't work. Also worth noting they took a page out of the Sonos playbook and added about three taps to get to watching the game, replacing what used to happen in one tap. Over engineering by non-users at its worst.
  18. I'm a tech savvy 40something, and am still slightly confused if I go to the MLB app to watch my Twins TV subscription. So far everything I've seen has been posted as "Free Game of the Day" so I'm still not confident I'm doing it right. That said, I must be, because I think in the olden days those games were blacked out, but also not sure if that was the case during Spring Training or just the regular season. My point being this is definitely confusing, and certainly will be for the non tech savvy.
  19. Seeing how the new system played out on Sunday was interesting. It made me wonder, though, why they need to spend even the 10-15 seconds they are spending now to wind up the graphics on the screens when the data surely is there within 1 second. Also there was reporting recently that the NHL is using smart watches for vibration sensors to the referees. It seems only a matter of time before they do just that with MLB umpires. It would all look the same, but the umpire would know before he could even have time to react that he is calling a strike correctly. I was unsure about the change, but I think it's time.
  20. Also in April be prepared to go from Antarctic cold to Equator heat within the same game.
  21. Say whatever you want about Spring Training, but Delmon Young looks great this year.
  22. Not trying to be a pain in the ass...just saying every guess made me want to look back at the photo, and the longer the thread goes, the harder that gets to do. Take it as a comment to do what anyone wants with. I guess if you want an answer to your question, it would be no, because someone that drops in later can play the game until the actual photo is revealed if you hold it until the end.
  23. Since you asked for suggestions in the first thread, I'd like to see the pic more often after other guesses come in without having to scroll back up. Not sure if this is consensus, but If people would quote the OP when submitting their guess, or if you could bump the OP pic throughout the thread that would be awesome.
  24. The prior question was if Youtube TV adds a tier to include sports, or finds a way to broadcast it (like they once did with BSN)...though that doesn't seem likely the way they're marketing this so far.
