  1. I can totally see him becoming an institution as a manager in the not too distant future.
  2. My kid and I tried Friday night but the wave is hard these days.
  3. Can anyone point me to the definitive source of game delay notices? Seems like usually it's waiting for St. Peter to put something on Twitter, which doesn't happen until less than an hour before the game. Would like a little more notice of a delay if possible.
  4. I was at the ballpark tonight. They clearly intend to cash in on the new merch. It made me wonder if the Pohlads installed a bell that would ring every time someone bought a new jersey. Clearly MLB sees the value in marketing, though, and stuff will sell because it's new, and not because it's good.
  5. Miguel Sano just made a position player pitching appearance for the Angels.
  6. No clue what's going on here, but this makes me remember how great BYTO.com was, and why my bookmark remains named BYTO to this day.
  7. Yeah not that hard to follow moving guys over vs. striking out can have its benefits.
  8. If someone wants to dig up a stat on how many guys were left on 1st or 2nd base when the inning ended on a strike out or especially back to back strikeouts I'd like to see that.
  9. Or maybe they should practice it in meaningless games and do more of it in the regular season?
  10. Exactly why the team philosophy of HR or K needs to go.
  11. Just making sure you'll say the regular season is the better time to "work on" sacrifice bunting in game situations?
  12. I would agree, and what's funny is that this is probably bad for the business of baseball. When owners were closer to looking for eye test players as opposed to farming that out to people with no financial interest, the product was better.
  13. It will depend on how many wins they have come July to know the answer to this. Win and the fans will forget it. Lose and they'll go away until the team starts to win again.
  14. Delmon Young showed up to camp looking great this year.
  15. This guy gets it.
  16. Timely advice for a game that happened in late August.
  17. Considering something like this was their contingency plan I wouldn't be surprised if they start to move toward more of a national platform similar to the NFL, but with regional broadcasts.
  18. That at bat was the second time I said "what the hell" while watching a Phillies game. The first time was the last time they put him up to bat in a huge situation.
  19. Not from time on the field, but way too much working out during and between seasons. That's why they can't be on the field as much. Ridiculous I know.
  20. Players playing the game and not worrying about getting hurt was so much more fun to watch. They were in nowhere nearly as good of shape, but their bodies weren't as overworked either.
  21. The collective batting order constantly swinging for the fences and refusing to try to get a base hit gets the blame.
  22. Yeah if they are the only game that day and you're watching on TV you're complaining that they didn't move the game to the evening so you could watch. More people watch on TV than go to the game.
  23. https://www.mlb.com/postseason The schedule appears to be set. Twins playing at 3:38 Central each day scheduled.
