stringer bell Verified Member Posted August 18, 2024 Posted August 18, 2024 This should be another interesting game. Pablo has been inconsistent this year, but there's probably a couple of great outings left in the tank for the regular season. I hope today is one of them. Mahle has already had an outing where he threw over 90 pitches, so I don't think he'll be pulled super early in this one unless the Twins blast him. Texas should be better than their record, but they seem to have used up all their good luck last year.
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted August 18, 2024 Posted August 18, 2024 I went to see a new magician last night. He had quite an act. At one point, he turned the audience into a giant windmill. Now I'm a big fan.

ziggy Verified Member Posted August 18, 2024 Posted August 18, 2024 The Twins are 1 of 4 teams to have 70 wins this year. I have to eat crow as I thought this team would be worse than last years team. Going into this series against last years champs a four game sweep in their stadium would have been inconceivable but if Pablo is on today they have a good chance to make it happen. Rocco seems to live and die by the math numbers, so like poker the numbers are not emotional so go with the math. 51 percent for versus 49 against will always work out better for the 51. The Twins should have a good book on Mahle's pitches so here's to a sweep!

Twins_Fan_in_NJ Verified Member Posted August 18, 2024 Posted August 18, 2024 If the Twins take care of business, and with some help, they could be a game behind Cleveland and 1/2 game behind Baltimore for the top WC spot. Pablo, be an ace today. Please!
stringer bell Verified Member Posted August 18, 2024 Posted August 18, 2024 If I were a betting man (I’m not), I would put money on Texas today. It’s really hard to sweep a four-game series on the road and the Twins have gotten the majority of the breaks in three consecutive games. Karma would seem to be on the Rangers side. I hope I’m dead wrong on this and that López is sharp today. It won’t surprise me if the Twins are three back tomorrow. Twins_Fan_in_NJ 1

Also check out Seager against Pablo , 6 plate appearances with 4 r.b.i. and 3 Home runs, thinking pitch to him a little different than he has, Something to Watch !!!! Careful Pablo !!

mrtwinsfan Old-Timey Member Posted August 18, 2024 Posted August 18, 2024 Eddie Julien , not starting against a Righty ? is this the final straw , still wondering why we cant make it possible to bring up a True Center Fielder to back up when Buck is down, 40 man roster b.s. I hear you chief...I'm in the same boat. Variety is the spice of life, but I draw the line when it comes to Spencer Steer.
