It's still one game.  They could be down by 15 runs, it's still one loss.

"Game over."

"Waddaya mean, game over? It's only 3-0. Your comment lacks credibility."

"How about now?"

"It's only one game."

I'm watching the season where only 15 of 162 games, have been played.

Yea I’ve watched those 15 games too. Nothing in them makes me believe they can compete and come back in this game. The team is playing bad.

Im not saying the season is over. But my ability to watch this game sure is.

The explanation was the loss of TV revenue due to the issue with the Bally Sports contract.

I don't think they ever actually said anything about the TV revenue. I'm sure that was in ownership's mind, but I don't recall them ever saying it.

Joe Pohlad said he was "right sizing" the business.

EDIT: The above is incorrect. Pohlad did, indeed, mention the TV contract uncertainty when he said the Twins would be "right sizing."

Yes…although, good is a relative term.

Many teams are good relative to the Twins right now. Oakland is playing much better than the Twins, as well.

Like Perkins just said, the Orioles weakest player is the #1 prospect in baseball. That says something about their lineup.

Did we as fans ever get an explanation for why ownership cut payroll this year?

Actually, look at it as a payroll reset after the large spike increase in payroll that Pohlad gave to Falvey in 2022 and 2023.

People on this site talk about going “all in” well, the Twins have actually been doing that, and no one noticed

Like, ownership wants to make more money from the Twins, or they want to cut dollars ear-marked for the Twins to put towards other more profitable ventures? I get it you may not know, it just seems so tone deaf for the Pohald's to cut payroll after the year the Twins had, and not even explain anything to the fans. I get it, they don't care about fans, but they should because we line their pockets.

The Pohlads are in business to make money first and if they can win while making money great. That's the same as a lot of owners. We'd like them to be win first and if they can still make money great.

The Twins only saving grace is they won't finish in last in the Central since the White Sox have claimed that spot.

After three innings the Orioles have 7 runs, the Twins have one hit. I really hate playing the role of the Washington Generals. (Some might have to Google that one.)

I see. If that's the truth, then I guess that makes sense from a business standpoint, even though it is very annoying. On the flip side, this logic should mean larger payroll spending if the team can get a better TV contract after this year. I won't hold my breath.

This umpire, upper left hand corner may, or may not be a strike, identical pitch.

Twins call up Baltimore and offer Byron Buxton for Cedric Mullins. Mullins is making $6.25M this season, one more arb year in 2025.

What does Baltimore say? (Other than "Doesn't Buck have a no-trade??")

The Buck doesn't stop here?

The thing is, not only is the current FO philosophy and style creating a loser here at the MLB level, but the whole org is tanking at every level that could help this year. AAA and AA, with Wichita 1-8!

What a treat to see players actually swinging at close pitches and getting hits, instead of our guys looking at them, whining about close strikes, even, and begging for walks.

The Orioles don't care. They just swing at it, protect the plate, and hit it out! They don't wait around and whine about the strike zone. At least not in these two games........

I believe the Twins will finish last in the Central at end of the season.
