  1. ....Twinkle, Twins, little star - how I've wondered where you are for the last 30 years and counting.
  2. That’s fair, and a good distinction between “can” and “will.” There is quite a bit that needs to go right for them to be able to compete. So I agree they can compete if everything goes right, which it never does, so then I go back to they realistically can’t compete, and most certainly won’t choose to compete.
  3. Yeah I don't see a way forward either. The problem is Twins fans know what they are going to get from the Pohlads, and aren't o.k. with it anymore. In the past, Twins fans used to cling to competing for division titles, taking our chances in the playoffs, losing and looking forward to next year. But now, Twins fans fully understand the Pohlad's do not care about winning which makes the fan/ownership relationship personal - why should Twins fans give the Pohlads what they want (money) if they aren't going to even try and give Twins fans what we want (a WS). Fans are done with the Pohalds, and honestly any PR that comes out will just be viewed as more Pohlad BS, which will further alienate fans. It's truly time to sell the team.
  4. No they won't avoid 90 losses. I think there is a very real chance that Twins fans give up on the team while the Pohlad's are owners, the MLB starts to realize MN is no longer a viable baseball market, the team moves somewhere (Charlotte?) and wins a WS within the first 10 years as a new org., and is the final middle finger to Twins fans everywhere, and an end to the misery saga over the last 25 years.
  5. Lol. I think it would only be fair to not swing at it because Julien wouldn't swing, and it is his batting spot after all.
  6. The Twins should consider choosing a random fan to hit in place of Julien every game. It would pack the stadium and wouldn't have much of a difference on the game, let alone season.
  7. It is nice to see Royce busting out of a 9 month slump considering he doesn't do slumps
  8. Let's see if we can not get blown out by the White Sox tonight! Go Twins!
  9. It is shocking to me that this many people have asked you if the Twins can compete next year - it's honestly unbelievable. This many people asking you such a stupid question is such a microcosm into Twins culture. The Twins as a whole won't look much different than this year, yet people are expecting THIS team to compete for a WS? Are you seriously kidding me!? WE JUST LOST FOUR IN A ROW TO THE WHITE SOX! Also, let's assume most people asking you if the Twins can compete next year are asking if you think the Twins have a shot to make the playoffs, which is ridiculous. I want to shake people who think way. The team needs to take steps towards winning a WS or BUST. I'm so sick and tired of "making the playoffs" essentially being our WS. For the first time in my life, I am actually wondering if the Twins moving out of town wouldn't be a bad thing, which is sad to say.
  10. Lol.. yeah.. if we pull out 2 out of 6 then we are definitely ready to compete next year.
  11. Just remember, whoever was talking about next competing next year needs to remember we just lost 4 in a row to the White Sox.
  12. I know my take won’t be popular, but I whole-heartedly agree they should both be sold high while we can. The Twins aren’t winning a WS anytime soon, so pickup as many high end prospects as we possibly can and play for a new competitive window starting in 2027. Twins fans need to give up this idea that potentially winning 85 games next year will somehow be a good thing because it won’t result in a WS. They need a complete overhaul. Loading up on as many high end prospects as you can is the most likely way to win in the future given the teams lack of spending capacity.
  13. Hope he's o.k. We might need 'em later in the season.
  14. After a long day of work I'm finally sitting down for the game. Thanks goodness for the rain delay.. Has anyone gotten hurt yet?
  15. If anyone needs another reason to hate the Pohlad's (I know, you don't), a fan was either arrested, or threatened being arrested, last night after holding a "Defund the Pohlad's" sign. Angst is at an all time high, and I seriously think Twins nation needs to keep their foot on the gas behind this movement.
  16. 48 pitches through 2.. should be fun to watch the bullpen against this team.
  17. Two can play this game. I genuinely hope most fans see it the way you do. I think people underestimate the power of the fanbase. The Pohlad's proverbial pocket book is lined with OUR money. We are in control of our money. We can control how well the Pohlad's billion dollar investment works out for them.
  18. Do it. I'll hire you as campaign manager when I start the true revolt.
  19. That season was crazier than the Twins sweeping an AL stalwart while their division competition got swept?
  20. Literally by fans not attending games. There is waaaaay too much stench going on for any traditional methods of "righting the ship" to be sufficient. Do. not. attend. games.
  21. I'm always down to start a ownership revolution. Sooooo maybe see ya in January?
  22. Cory should ask Morneau what crazier things have happened than the Twins making a playoffs in this scenario?
  23. Where's the third guy yelling to blame both!
  24. To actually put an end to the game
