stringer bell Verified Member Posted June 15, 2024 Author Posted June 15, 2024 Ehire Adrianza was DFA'd by the Angels. I wonder if this is the end of his big league career. He'll be 35 later this year, and hasn't hit much in some time. A prototypical utility player, who was never a regular, he has reached 10 years in major league service. If he is done, he made the most of his abilities. https://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2024/06/angels-place-adam-cimber-on-15-day-il-select-jose-marte-release-ehire-adrianza.html Kenny Powers, Ryan Atkins and Doctor Wu 3

But yeah, not a bad career for a guy considered a borderline utility player early in his career. Didn't the Twins pick him up on waivers originally? He had a couple of productive years with the Braves, so I'm sure he's not too disappointed.
Dave Borton Verified Member Posted June 22, 2024 Posted June 22, 2024 Our friend Miguel, always open to new ways to miss the lineup. On the IL: "After starting a rehab assignment in the Arizona Complex League, Sanó accidentally burned his left knee on May 25 because of a mishap with a heating pad. He was pulled from his rehab assignment on May 29 because the burn was severe enough that he needed further treatment. He resumed baseball activities on May 31 and played in his first game since the heating pad issue on June 8, recording one hit in three at-bats..." https://www.mlb.com/news/angels-injuries-and-roster-moves Doctor Wu 1

strumdatjag Verified Member Posted June 25, 2024 Posted June 25, 2024 Jorge Polanco is coming off of Seattle’s IL. He is batting .195 on the year so far. Sub-.600 OPS. Looks like the Twins broke their ties with Polo just in time. I remember, several years ago, going to see Buxton in Cedar Rapids and coming home extremely impressed with Polanco. It’s a tough biz. bighat Verified Member Posted June 25, 2024 Posted June 25, 2024 Former Twins farmhand Spencer Steer is on pace for 20 homers, 25 steals and 100 RBI while playing 1B and OF for the Reds. An argument could be made for an All-Star nod for the 2nd year player. Former Twins farmhand Chase Petty is 21 years old and pitching in Double-A Chattanooga in the Reds system. He's 6-2 with a 5.40 ERA in 14 starts this year. He's got 59 strikeouts in 63 innings pitched. He's steadily moving up the ranks and could be an anchor in their rotation in a couple years.
