Evan more former Twins news with Michael A. Taylor being placed on waivers by PIT today.

It would seem, what ever curse hit Billy Hamilton has now hit M. Taylor.☹️

Alan Busenitz was selected, then DFA'd by the Reds a few days ago.

Michael Tonkin DFA'd by the Yankees today.

Eddie Rosario released by the Mets today.

Those who were bemoaning the loss of Tonkin should be excited we have the opportunity to get him back. A 5.74 ERA in his last 17 outings is not convincing to me, though we should at least try SOMEthing.

I didn't even realize that the Mets had picked up Rosario. He's sifting through teams quickly this season!

He's had a very disappointing season. I liked his contributions to the Twins last season, but looks like this may be the end of the road for him.

Taylor Rogers on waivers. He's not coming back to the Twins as he comes with a $12 million price tag for next year and apparently was the 8th best pitcher in the Giants bullpen according to their manager.

We can't stash Tonkin in St Paul because the Mets will grab him again when we try to outright him, LOL.

we should try to get Rodgers somehow in my opinion

If you blinked you missed Banuelos' stint. DFA'd without getting into a game.

Man, this is such a brutal industry. Brutal.

Over in Baltimore, Code Povich has made several starts this season, but roughed up enough to sport an ERA of nearly 6.00 going into this week. But then he went out and pitched 7.1 scoreless innings and struck out 10 batters two days ago. Methinks the Orioles are happy getting both him and Cano in that trade.

Dick Mountain didn't have much of a runway--3.2 innings.

My enduring memory of Blankenhorn was the error he made at second base in perhaps the worst loss the Twins have experienced in this century.

Rob Refsnyder (Bosox) went 4-4 last night, is hitting .285 at age 33.

Was recognized by Boston last eve as community supporter of the year for the Red Sox. Just prior to stepping to mike, his young daughter puked all over him. Took it in stride.

Old friend Luis Arraez is back to his usual ways, leading the NL in hits and batting average by a comfortable margin.  It kind of looks like 3 batting titles in a row is likely.  Oh, and he hasn't struck out in a game since August 10... the longest such streak in over 20 years.

He's doing this while suffering some of the worst reverse home/road splits I can remember.  Most hitters thrive in the comfortable environments of home, but Petco has really suppressed his extra base power and hitting in general this year.

At home: .273/.324/.330 - basically replacement level or worse
on the road:  .365/.390/.450 -  elite level

Nothing against the Padres, and this year may be a fluke, but if Petco continues to suppress his game this much I'd kind of like to see him move to a team with a ballpark where he can really thrive.

Refsnyder hit 2 homers in that game, Having himself a very nice season in Boston.

Our pal Joey Gallo went 0-3 yesterday and is not batting a robust .155 for the season with the Nationals, Methinks this is the end of the line for him. Speaking of endings, any signs of Eddie Rosario after his latest release?

Gibby and Berrios pitching a great duel; 1-1 after 4. Berrios has been hot as of late.

Gibson has pitched better than I thought he would this year in St. Louis, And Berrios is looking very good in Toronto.
