It sure would be nice if Pablo can avoid putting us in the hole right away, like we were the last couple games. The come-backs were great, but I'd much rather we jump out in front, than the other way around. It's a beautiful night for a ballgame! Let's put Cleveland another game back!

These top two teams in the AL Central are both sporting lineups with four players batting under .230.

This makes it look much better for the good guys.

CLE OPS+ MIN OPS+
Kwan 100 Julien 132
Ramirez 132 Polanco 112
Calhoun 116 Kepler 117
Laureano 92 Correa 92
Gimenez 93 Wallner 129
Brennan 79 Lewis 139
Gonzalez 59 Vazquez 61
Naylor 89 Gallo 99
Arias 78 Taylor 93

Pretty strong negative correlation for the Twins between OPS and salary.

Not to be off topic, but in somewhat of a surprising move the Angels released the following players today:

SP  Giolito

RP  Lopez

RP   Moore

OF   Grichuk

OF   Renfrow

Wondering if ANY of these players would be of interest to the front office?

Despite the likely return of Castro, Buxton and Kirilloff over the next 10 days--------do either of the RH hitters offer an upgrade?

Would either Lopez or Moore help?  No certainty Stewart returns anytime soon.  Is Funderburk a better option than what Matt Moore would offer?

Is Giolito a short term upgrade over what Keuchel offers, especially with Ober seemingly getting an extended reset in SP?

Not strongly advocating for ANY of these to be added as I understand the importance of team chemistry.

Saying that---would be interested in hearing the thoughts of others.

Interesting, I don't have much to offer except Giolito threw a ball in Farmer's face and played with the New Jackie Robinson for the Dirty Sox. I'd rather watch the Twins hit homers off of Lucas if he lands with somebody else.

Pick to click:  Michael A. Taylor with home run #20 on the season this evening.

I’m picking Gallo. He has to hit SOMETIME.

Too many pitches Pablo.

I was thinking the same thing.  If can find the strike zone, I think he'll have a great game.

I sure hope so.

1. Kepler goes yard, tonite

2. Twins vendors sell more beer this Wednesday, than previous Wednesdays

3. Gallo hits a single
