But there are no playoff teams or world series teams in June, which is what I was responding to. I understand the OP was saying this Twins team doesn't look like a champion. My point is there is no formula for one. If there was this would be a pretty boring sport to watch. (Oh, wait...)

Vanimal46 Old-Timey Member Posted June 22, 2022 Posted June 22, 2022 Excellent finish for Joe Ryan. Snapper mow em down inning!
bighat Verified Member Posted June 22, 2022 Posted June 22, 2022 Very impressed with how Ryan has come back - going to finish with a QS and definitely did his job. Embarrassing offensive effort.
mrtwinsfan Old-Timey Member Posted June 22, 2022 Posted June 22, 2022 Nice job tonight Joe Ryan, Hopefully we see more of it ,
Doctor Gast Verified Member Posted June 22, 2022 Posted June 22, 2022 SO the side great job Ryan! Ok Kepler get us going!~
bighat Verified Member Posted June 22, 2022 Posted June 22, 2022 Kepler's numbers looking pretty awful lately. 30 year-old corner outfielders who bat .230 and hit 12 HRs don't have much time left in the league.

LVTwinsfan Verified Member Posted June 22, 2022 Posted June 22, 2022 Ryan should feel good about it? Why? Too much emphasis on meaningless achievements, winning should be the main goal.

LA Vikes Fan Verified Member Posted June 22, 2022 Posted June 22, 2022 Why is Sanchez the DH? It sure seems like either Miranda or Larnach would have been a better choice. I know it's easy to say after he has looked bad for 3 at bats but in my defense, I did think about that when I saw the lineup. I really would like to see Kirilloff and Miranda back to in back the number 5 and 6 holes. I know it's risky but I really do think that's our best lineup. Move Kepler back to 7 or 8, 2 spots behind Kirilloff and hit Urshela after Kepler.

The bats have heated up for a game or two here and there, but overall this has been a well below-average offensive team. If Buxton's hot, it's must-see TV. If he's not, the team is almost unwatchable.
Azviking101 Verified Member Posted June 22, 2022 Posted June 22, 2022 Guardians thank Rocco for that extra day off for buxton to help get him out of his hot streak. Somehow Rocco felt buxton needed Thursday, Saturday and Monday off from DHing
Tlaker Verified Member Posted June 22, 2022 Posted June 22, 2022 Anyone listening to the radio….. I am thinking Cory got his knuckles rapped for his Foghorn Leghorn impression? Dan’s response after the break was the first clue

They are far from a below average offense.
Vanimal46 Old-Timey Member Posted June 22, 2022 Posted June 22, 2022 Cotton is starting to settle in as a reliable middle inning reliever and I’m here for it.
Mill1634 Verified Member Posted June 22, 2022 Posted June 22, 2022 I was typing and looked up when I heard contact and Rosario acted like he hit that ball 435 feet.

I'm curious who goes down when Megill/Winder are back. Alcala too eventually, hopefully. The three obvious canidates are Devin Smeltzer, Tyler Duffey, and Dylan Bundy, but I would be surprised if the Twins cut bait on two of these three, let alone all 3. My guess is Smeltzer goes down when Winder is back, and someone else will likely be headed to the shelf whenever Megill is back a week from now.
