Doctor Gast Verified Member Posted June 22, 2022 Posted June 22, 2022 Alright! That's what I want to see! Good job Kiriloff!!!!!!!
bighat Verified Member Posted June 22, 2022 Posted June 22, 2022 How bad has Celestino been lately? I missed a lot of the West Coast games but his average seems to have fallen off a cliff. Haven't seen the guy with an xbh for ages it seems.

bighat Verified Member Posted June 22, 2022 Posted June 22, 2022 Ryan absolutely has to put up a zero here.
Richie the Rally Goat Community Moderator Posted June 22, 2022 Posted June 22, 2022 Alright Joe, let’s see a quick and scoreless inning

He has a .571 OPS in his list 14 games, and only one hit was for extra bases. I don't think we should see him start against RH when the entire OF (Larnach, Kepler, AK, Buxton, Gordon) are healthy, and don't think we will much. His role from this point forward should be a platoon option against LHP

Yeah, I think Gray is probably a 3 on a world series contender, and a #2 on a playoff team. There is a difference, and at this point the Twins are just a playoff team.
stringer bell Verified Member Posted June 22, 2022 Posted June 22, 2022 One game isn’t validation or verification, but I’m pretty optimistic that Kirilloff is going to be a fine player including a middle-of-the-order hitter.

His under the hood stats on baseball savant have been mostly bad all year. It was worth seeing if he could continue outperforming expectations, but he’s regressing to the mean now.

Yeah, I think we forgot how hyped of a prospect he was in 2019. I hope he settles in as the full time 1B for the foreseeable future.
Mill1634 Verified Member Posted June 22, 2022 Posted June 22, 2022 Fantastic bounceback inning by Ryan. I would assume that does it for him. A mixed bag of a start. Didn't have great stuff, velo, or command, but he held a good lineup to 3 runs in 5 innings, and gave the Twins a chance to win. About in line with what you can ask him to do nearly everytime out, with room to grow as he gets farther away from COVID.
mrtwinsfan Old-Timey Member Posted June 22, 2022 Posted June 22, 2022 Still scracthing this old beak thinking about this Lineup Rocco put out, , dont get some of his ??????

Celestino still has an insanely good BABiP, but it has regressed to the mean of late.
Richie the Rally Goat Community Moderator Posted June 22, 2022 Posted June 22, 2022 Cmon Jeffers! Let’s start this off right
Montdak Verified Member Posted June 22, 2022 Posted June 22, 2022 Cleveland has an excellent pen. Our FO has done some good things but how would Rogers look now considering the starter we got for him almost immediately blew out his arm.
Richie the Rally Goat Community Moderator Posted June 22, 2022 Posted June 22, 2022 Arraez and shine!

Two extra RH batters against a guy with reverse splits. I imagine we’ll see both Gordon and Larnach in the next two games.

bighat Verified Member Posted June 22, 2022 Posted June 22, 2022 Three terrible ABs from Buxton thusfar.
Montdak Verified Member Posted June 22, 2022 Posted June 22, 2022 Buxton looked jumpy and bad that AB.
Mill1634 Verified Member Posted June 22, 2022 Posted June 22, 2022 Sigh. Really hurts not to at least get it tied against Civale because the Cleveland bullpen is fantastic and I assume they pull Civale after that in his first start in a month.
