Steve71 Verified Member Posted April 27, 2022 Posted April 27, 2022 Paddack has some bulldog toughness to him, which I like. Pitching around that leadoff double was huge, against the heart of their lineup. Great job, Now get some more runs and salt this one away.
wsnydes Old-Timey Member Posted April 27, 2022 Posted April 27, 2022 Have to admit, the Urshela acquisition has worked out better than expected so far.
Steve71 Verified Member Posted April 27, 2022 Posted April 27, 2022 Kepler! Wow it is nice to see that swing!
stringer bell Verified Member Posted April 27, 2022 Posted April 27, 2022 Urshela/Arraez at third base has outperformed Donaldson so far. Let's remember that we are only 1/10th of the way through the season.
Steve71 Verified Member Posted April 27, 2022 Posted April 27, 2022 Much better at bat by Sano (low bar there), just can't find a hole right now even when he squares it up. Should have murdered the 3-1 pitch, which he fouled straight back. Man, would love to see Sano get locked in.....
Danchat Old-Timey Member Posted April 27, 2022 Posted April 27, 2022 Nice to see Kepler mashing - let's hope it's not a mirage.
stringer bell Verified Member Posted April 27, 2022 Posted April 27, 2022 Liking the Paddack acquisition a little more each outing.
wsnydes Old-Timey Member Posted April 27, 2022 Posted April 27, 2022 That's what I like to see. After a nice inning with the bats, a quick half inning on the field to get them right back out there.

Squirrel Community Moderator Posted April 27, 2022 Posted April 27, 2022 Well ... remember we sent Rortvedt there. While I think I'd rather have Rortvedt ... we need a catcher

Steve71 Verified Member Posted April 27, 2022 Posted April 27, 2022 Correa looks like he is guessing at the plate, and guessing wrong. Swinging at balls and watching strikes go by. Not a good pattern. He needs to wake up his bat.
bighat Verified Member Posted April 27, 2022 Posted April 27, 2022 I know it's still April, but it would be nice if Correa would show some signs of getting it together. With Kepler's big day it's arguable that Correa and Sano are neck-and-neck for the Most Disappointing Offensive players so far this year.

Fair ... but ... we needed something back that filled that void, even if it doesn't fill it completely. Still a better option than anyone else we have other than Jeffers
peterukavina Verified Member Posted April 27, 2022 Posted April 27, 2022 Not sure what the analytics say, but batting Kepler behind Urshela is sheer genius this game.

stringer bell Verified Member Posted April 27, 2022 Posted April 27, 2022 A bunt and a blooper. Let's hope it doesn't grow from there.
